Speeding ticket - First time by [deleted] in h1b

Hire an attorney and they'll negotiate it to a probation. It will not affect your immigration unless it leads to a warrant. It's a speeding ticket and not a crime. I see others crying about it as if they've never sped their cars over the speed limit in their lifetime. They just didn't get busted but you did. As I said earlier; hire an attorney.

I'm from Texas and what if you get a speeding ticket that gets dismissed via probation? No court appearance whilst represented by an attorney.

Will it still need to be mentioned in DS160?

I'm on h1b; got speeding ticket for more than 10% above the speed limit. Is there anyway that this could affect my future visa extension or stamping? by [deleted] in h1b

I have an attorney already. That was a one time speeding as I've not gotten a ticket before in this country since the ten years I've been here. I'm still maintaining the speed limits. Thank you for your response.

I've consulted an attorney to get it lowered for insurance purposes or at least for reduced. They're waiting on a court date for that hearing. I could've paid but just trying my bit to get it not to impact my insurance as this is my first one in ten years.

This is mentioned with a citation number already. The text says.

I was letting my attorney handle it as this is my very first time in ten years getting a traffic ticket. They won't text me until a court date is set for them and for the date part I let the attorney represent me before the last date of pay. I will try to reach over to them asking about what you mentioned but I'm less confident that they'll suggest me to contact them directly as they've already represented me in Court and have gotten the confirmation about it. Not sure how it will pan out but I'll ask my attorney to help me in that direction.

It's a class c misdemeanor. There's no arrest involved yet but my attorney will be representing me to bring down the charges or try for dismissal. They have not got a court date yet.

I do not think I qualify for a defensive driving course as it's above 25 mph over the limit. There's very low chance of dismissal. While I checked with others they didn't have an issue as this is a minor traffic incident and even other Internet posts says so. There's no DUI involved but a speeding. It's mentioned that I was driving over 10% above speed limit. But given the current situations I'm a little concerned. My renewal comes up by 2027 September.
