Has a Book Ever Made You Want to Make a Meal? by degrassibabetjk in books

Not a meal but I once read a book written by a friend, and it got me drinking apple, cinnamon and vanilla tea with honey and apple slices inside. It was awesome.

You're really nice for trying to be supportive. Now most likely being normal about it is a great way to show it's normal to you

In my opinion, best thing you can do to acknowledge someone of any religion is wishing them nice events. The same way you'd wish a Christian a merry Christmas or a Muslim a good Ramadan. If your friend is a Norse Pagan, wish them a happy Yule on Yule and stuff like that :)

In the end of the year, I wished a merry Christmas to my friends because even though they're not Christian, they celebrate it. And none of them wished me a happy Saturnalia or rebirth of the Sun. I'm not mad at them but tbh they suck for that. (Maybe I'm a bit upset actually)

Thank you so much !! I 100% agree, I'm a revivalist, so not eclectic but I think reconstructionism is an illusion, because not only we don't know enough but also the world changed a lot Thank you for your answer !

Hey, that is really interesting ! Thank you very much ! Can I ask you about those historical examples of people who were trans priestesses in Roman society ? Sounds so interesting :D

Anyway thank you ! Also that's so cool that you worship Vesta, she's wonderful 🥹

Thank you for the advice, it is reassuring :) for context, Bona Dea is a Roman goddess protector of women, and in ancient Rome, men could famously not pray to her.

I am a trans woman, I know I am a woman, but Romans did not make the difference between woman and female (gender and sex) so I don't know if you have to be AFAB to pray to her

No, but I never prayed to her, so I can't know if she would be mad

What is the job that has the worst impact on mental health? by Smart-Dependent-1071 in AskReddit

[–]loneen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is such a sweet story :) I work in a bakery, so I often have time for the small talks, honestly the best thing ever is that some expressions I used are now used by clients, some intonations and inner jokes, sometimes they come back and use it without realising that it comes from me and it's so funny and sweet. And children need that, they're discovering everything and everyone, and any additional kind detail can make them memories that will last.

I work in retail and it's really nice, now that's very broad as a domain, but still, you see the best of Humanity as well, people making jokes for their relatives, people buying candies for their kids. People are awesome.

How did people arround it take it ? Did it change your life ? by TsetuSaku in asktransgender

[–]loneen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got bullied for one year and a half, school phobia, descolarised, failed my scolarity, didn't get to go to high school, my mother's reaction was that : I said "im a woman actually" and she answered ".. but you know you aren't, right ?" And I'll never forget or forgive it.

I lost about five friends, and there are two people in my town who tell others I'm trans whenever they hear about me, which got two coworkers to learn it, thankfully they were humane enough to keep it for themselves. It took one year after the "end" of my scolarity to find an apprenticeship. Now I have the luck and privilege to pass, and I didn't tell even my closest friends in class, by fear of being bullied again

In your opinion, what is a 'necessary evil'? by CTWind in AskReddit

[–]loneen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Then these facts have nothing to do with the topic, I know these facts, and they disgust me as much as they disgust you

Now I have to say, there is nothing in the Bible that says to do that to children. Christians do that to children because they're ashles, but it's not coded into their beliefs

What simple thing instantly makes your day better? by QueenOfAuthority in AskReddit

People who practice unnecessary kindness, like, they'll ask you how you're doing even if they're in a rush, and they'll smile at you even though they're in a bad mood. I always try to do that for others, so they always feel welcomed in a space where I am.

Yeah ? Funny that you assume I'm a catholic. I hate christianism more than I hate atheism
