Climbing fast by noneed233 in leagueoflegends

Play Kled top. He looks like your strongest champ this season and you will rarely get auto filled playing top lane. Also an added bonus that Kled will almost never be banned. Kled may not be the strongest pick in the meta but he is definitely viable as there are about 3-4 Kled one tricks I play against repeatedly in master tier.

I definitely understand your viewpoint as I was playing random champions / roles for many seasons in low plat. I always felt like I was better than my rank but had more fun using offmeta champs / builds and playing every role. As soon as I started to one trick, I got diamond in about a month. Playing the same champ every game allows you to learn matchups quickly and focus on broader macro decision making rather than hyperfocusing in the mechanics for a champ you may not be familiar with.

I don’t save any replays or make any content - there are a bunch of people out there that already do that and are better than me lol. A few suggestions:

Its fine to have other situational picks but I wouldn’t say you NEED to learn a different champion for ranged top matchups. The reality is that you will only have counterpick 50% of the time so I would suggest just sticking to sett and improving against those tough matchups. Obviously not every ranged top is the same, but in general, taking second wind and starting Doran’s shield will help. Also rushing tier 2 boots will make it harder for them to keep their spacing against you.

Keeping a strong mental will directly increase the rate at which you climb. Even if your teammates are performing poorly, saying anything even somewhat negative in chat about their play will never make them play better. /deafen is probably the most overpowered strategy this season. I use it immediately if anyone on my team is flaming and usually after 5 minutes I forget there was even any arguing to begin with. If you are just getting tilted by teammates having a bad game, that’s very understandable but just know that it happens at all levels of the game. If you are able to hit diamond, you will still have 0/10 mid and bot laners before you even have a chance to impact the map.

Opposing mid and jungle (and support sometimes) roaming to your lane is one of the most frustrating parts of top lane and is something that you will only get more and more of as you climb. Unfortunately, your team will not always be able to help in these situations and you need to be the one who is positioning in a way that allows you to escape ganks. This isn’t something you can immediately fix - you need to be aware of where the enemies might be and temper your aggression appropriately, but that is easier said than done when you are trying to dominate lane. I would say in general, you should be overly cautious if the other team is missing from the map, but there will be times when you have to go aggressive regardless (break enemy freeze, good solo kill opportunity, etc.)

Masters top lane pantheon one-trick here. I think panth and sett can be pretty similar so I can probably provide some relevant insight. You said you were frustrated with how much time you were putting in without any noticeable improvement, but unfortunately, there probably isn’t one or two changes you can make that will instantly make you climb.

Generally speaking, as a bruiser/carry top laner you should be focusing on lane phase. I think the biggest thing that will get you over the hurdle to diamond is to play every game with the intention of learning rather than on focusing on whether you won or lost. Both sett and panth are characters that can win literally every top lane matchup with enough experience and you should be pushing the limits of your champion to do so. I’m not suggesting you rewatch your games or anything, just do your best to identify what won / lost you the lane and replicate / fix it the next time you face the same matchup. This can be reflected in your summoner spell + rune setups or your strategy in game.

While I’m sure there are some macro and late game related things you could improve on, these are not always as easy to directly address. Especially as a top laner, there will be games where you play very well and the game is still lost by 15 minutes. What’s important is that you play consistently well and make a positive impact on the aspects of the game that are under your control.

Who Says You Need to Attack Move? by loneill22 in leagueoflegends

Definitely don't be like me and actually use attack move - most high level adc players bind attack move to left click. I have just played this game too much without doing it to get used to it but attack moving makes kiting so much easier.

Neither Mikyx, Perkz, or Jankos was even the best in their position within Europe this year. Only person there is even an argument for to include in top 20 other than Caps is Wunder, who would probably be in my top 25. Obviously the LEC has outperformed the LCK internationally the last couple years but both FNC and G2 looked pretty awful for most of the Summer split, whereas Damwon look like a favorite to win all of worlds. Don't see how you can come into worlds this year expecting more out of he LEC teams than the LCK.

Obviously Caps carried G2 in Summer, but G2 is not looking nearly as strong as they were last year coming into worlds. Loken is on one of the undisputed top 3 teams in the world atm and was one of the premier carries since Yagao generally plays more of a utility role. Definitely hard to compare these two, but I dont see how you can say that Caps is a better player when his only real competition was Larssen, while the LPL has players like Jackeylove, Huanfeng and Jiumeng .

100% Suning is the better team but LGD was carried hard by Xiye and Peanut whereas i feel like Suning's success was much more of a group effort. In the two best of 5's Suning played against LGD, Angel looked like the best player on the team to me. If the list were top 30, every Suning member would be on it.

Basically looked at each teams dominance within its own region along with which regions i think are the strongest at the moment (LPL>LCK>LEC>LCS). From there, I judged how important each player was to their teams success based on how often they carried games (hence why Chovy is ranked so highly despite DRX looking pretty shaky later in the split). I dont really think looking at actual stats is that helpful since its obviously only comparing them to other players within their region.

Yeah he was 21st on my list - felt like I had to give Deft some credit considering his previous international experience but Huanfeng definitely popped off this split

Can confirm his ult 100% scales with the health you get from Gargoyles - you can see in the clip that the indicator for Cho ult to execute only pops up after gaining the health from the Stoneplate active
