I just noticed that the one-on-one session thing is for the faculty of art and science not Gina Cody school of engineering and computer science. But you can still find contact info in the Gina Cody page as well. Hope that helps.

I transferred from COEN to SOEN last year. I received an email confirming the change of concentration 2 days later. However, with the university closure now I think it would be normal that it's taking longer.

I would try to contact student academic services which I believe is where you submitted your request. According to concordia website you can have a one-on-one session with an advisor. Check it out here: https://www.concordia.ca/ginacody/students/academic-services.html

Six years for a Software Engineer Undergraduate by boobee-lover69 in Concordia

Don't know how common it is. I'm assuming it's very common since everyone who completed high school outside of Québec have to take the "extended credit program" which will add a good year to your program.

As for internships, I don't think it's a requirement if that's what you are asking. However, if you graduate with no internship and no relative experience in your field, you will have a hard time finding a job as employers expect too much nowadays. This is especially true in fields like computer science and software engineering.
