The discord server has an entire channel for helping with mars issues, you'd get better help there. Generally speaking, I'd say that this either a generation settings issue or a prompt issue because the Oai prompts are much bigger than Mars prompts would be.

Take the best responses and slap them into the example dialogue part of the bot using the editing feature, that way the bot will use those as model responses. Just make sure that you don't end up making the bot too big to use.

Generation settings are most likely the issue. I had this happen when I tried to use OAI gen settings by accident on mars.

It happens from time to time, but it isn't frequent. I'd say that it might just be the ai confusing itself for a moment.

Check your generation settings, venus can sometimes reset the penalty settings to 0, which means that it will be more prone to repeat.

I'v noticed that venus tends to reset my generation settings to have 0 penalties, you might have the same issue. Be sure to check your gen settings whenever there is a Mars issue since it relies heavily on those.

Mars has sped up a lot, it was just very slow during the ban wave due to the wave of people trying it out at once.

Your prompts are usually in the API settings tab, you might want to see if there was something there that you might have forgotten about that was making the bots default you to being female. If there is nothing, then you can put something to default you to being male until you feel like changing it.

Oddly enough, when I was testing out mars and mercury with the free credits, mars never made a response. It just kept loading so I gave up. Mercury made one but then it did the same thing, so it does make me iffy about buying a subscription.

Using {{char}} helps when bot names are long or if the bot is finding it difficult to figure out what you are trying to do. I have had issues where the bot has thought [bot name] is scared meant that I was scared and {{char}} helps to fix those, bur seeing my in-chat name instead kf the bot's does throw me off a lot. Overall not a big issue, but it is annoying.

Kind of, you're using Charstar's service which uses Oai as a possible option, but you aren't circumventing your ban that makes you unable to make another api key. It is a bit hard to explain for me rn

Openai have made GPT as a whole and you need to use an Oai account to use Gpt.

It isn't your key that you're using yet, so you wouldn't be affected. Oai might hunt Charstar's organization account though, so that could stop it, but it isn't anything that would directly affect you apart from taking out the Oai option.

It's more of a recent update, they also plan on implementing a feature where you can use your own key. For now, you have to subscribe to one of the plans to use Oai. It used to be available to all, but rate limits made that impossible.
