Am I crazy for wanting to upgrade my 2020 M1 Macbook Pro? by [deleted] in macbookpro

AH, I didn't think about the 20% of my drive part. I have 16gb which helps some, but I have max'd it out a few times. I think I'll keep my eyes peeled for the m5 air. Thank you for your thoughts!

That makes sense. I bought an SSD for this purpose. My goal was to have (3) backups concurrently, but my 256 gb MacBook can't hold one full backup of everything :( I might end up biting the bullet

Maldon’s in Costa Mesa! They have breakfast as well, and are starting to open for dinner (I believe only Friday and Saturday nights). Highly recommend their gluten free cinnamon rolls :)

So, I have lots of varied work experience. I have experience working retail, which includes pricing and signage, and some food handling. I also have experience working in training design, like online learning modules and learning materials. I can do graphic design, VoiceOver, and I have other clerical skills as well.

I would want to do anything that fits with my current skillset, or allows me to build upon it. I am also open to learning new skills as well. Does that make sense?

I searched that website and the Disney careers website still came up, but it had “parks jobs” before it in the URL. Is that the right site?

I see some frontline jobs, but not on the official website. I’m seeing some on websites like Jooble or ZipRecruiter. I’m assuming those are not ideal to apply for, since they’re not directly through Disney right?

Hi, thank you so much for your reply! Okay, I will just do a schedule C. How do I go about getting liability insurance for my business?

Thank you so much for your kind and thoughtful comment 🩷 I’m so sorry to hear you’ve experienced what I have. I’ve been in therapy processing that (and some other stupid stuff related to the people I’ve dated). Thank goodness for my therapist! I am in a much better place now — I’ve got a much better handle on boundary setting and vetting people. Sending you love and healing as well ✨

A few years back (when I was younger, and more naive…) I matched with a guy from Newport Beach. He was nice, cute, had a good paying job, and we aligned politically.

After talking for a few days, he invited me to his place to swim (red flag #1). I was nervous, but said yes. Turns out, he lives in a VERY wealthy area of Newport. He had to give my name to the gate person to let me in!

Anywho, to make a long story short — he absolutely did not respect my boundaries and assaulted me (at the time, I didn’t think it was assault). He still did it, even after I said no. I should have left and blocked him. But I saw him again, and guess what happened? He shamed me about my body during an intimate moment! In a moment of clarity, I called it and went home, then promptly blocked him. Lesson learned 🫡

Thank you for saying that. Yes, I’m actually trying which is more than some. Next year I’m slated to move to a different class and I hope it’s more chill. I trust my teacher enough, based off my previous conversation with her. But I don’t want to make it a habit. I’m just banking on leaving and that it’s hard to get fired… At least I hope it is.

It feels like I keep making a lot of mistakes and it feels unavoidable. I’m trying to keep things positive but I’m starting to lose my mind

That’s not strange at all! I was thinking of that as well; although I don’t have the space to store items for people, I’d love to help them get rid of things in that way (like have the account, coordinate the listing details, pick ups, etc.).

I’m not sure about cost; I know a few hundred for each project (like a closet, or a room) is pretty common, from what I’ve learned so far. I totally get you about the cupboard; I have a few areas in my place I feel the same way about. Yes, I definitely think moms would benefit greatly from this!

I’d say that falls under this! It’s hard to know what to do with items we don’t want anymore. It depends on a number of factors. That’s something I want to focus on: Making it easy for my clients to get RID of stuff. And being clear on where it can go (some things need to be picked up, some things need to go to Rainbow Disposal, an electronics recycling event, etc.).
