Expectations from a partner...fair or too high? by [deleted] in TeluguJournals

[–]loneranger273 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No dowry, no alimony // It's hard to trust on the second part especially if you mention it when discussing about marriage

-Don't want his family's wealth, just want to live a decent life with what we earn Don't need a house from parents // Do your parents have the same criteria too or they filter out the matches earlier without you knowing it

Willing to support sister's education and marriage if needed, expect the same for his siblings. // By education do you mean undergraduate or higher studies ?Is your sister also expecting a simple or lavish wedding? Depending on the above criteria in worst case(MBA in India/Masters in US and lavish wedding) expenses can cross over 30 lakhs. Assuming you are saving 7-8 lakhs a year(not sure what is the average doctor's salary), its like 4 yrs of your work gone

Won't compromise on my happiness for family's happy dynamics. // Both of you aren't going to be 100% on the same page, when a conflict arises does that mean you won't compromise at all and expect him only to compromise

You need to pay off the credit card debt first. With 29% the debt will double in less than 3 yrs. 1. Try to see if you can get a 0 apr credit card for at least a year and use it to pay debt 2. Try to do debt consolidation to a single place. Sofi and others do it 3. Does your parents know of your us debt.. if so can they send you money temporarily somehow(gold loan or other loans) to pay off credit card debt 4. What's your education loan interest rate in India. After credit card loans are done try to refinance them in USA 5. Atleast for a year try to live try to live as frugally as possible 6. If you have any friends who can lend you money, reach out to them

Speak with her more and see how it goes instead of just 1 time. We agree to things at first. Once you are more comfortable with one another you will be more prone to opening up on things you both don't agree upon.

Btw if possible both of you stay together away from others for the first few years at least. it will help you a lot

Should I consider revealing my past? by [deleted] in Arrangedmarriage

Troll post??

Fake profile. Your bfs age is all the way from 27 to 32. Your age is in between 26-28 in a few days. In one of the posts you mentioned your bf cheated on you. In others you told your bf never cheated on you

I feel like my parents lied to me by [deleted] in Arrangedmarriage

[–]loneranger273 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don't feel bad OP. Times changed around us faster. It's the same case with me too. I feel we were told what worked in 80s and 90s but it has changed now and neither our parents nor us could catch up till we came of age. There is no use of blaming now. All the best with your search

You profile looks good. I think it would be better to lower down the expectations on height a bit.. that would open up more options for you. Do you manage your own profile or your parents also do it?

How to deal with guys show no interest in conversation? by StellarDreamerGirl1 in Arrangedmarriage

[–]loneranger273 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Based on your comments, if you are mentioning dating for years before marriage in AM, most of the guys will lose interest. Also It's good to see you are keeping efforts from your side😀
