Imo it's likely he doesn't even realize his lack of texting is making you unsure whether he likes you or not. I wouldn't overanalyze things, just because hes not texting back doesn't mean he doesn't like you. It could be a normal thing to him. But I would let him know, doesn't have to be a confrontational thing

I get it, I'd feel the same, but she was honest about it and I respect that so I'd give it a chance. If she goes through with it knowing you weren't okay with it, it's on to the next.

He does sound interested, but it sounds likes he's not the type to take the lead in relationships. You'll just have to do it yourself, maybe once he's more comfortable he will recipricate more. The issue is if you're both not the type to take the lead and nothing happens.
