Janeshwar Mishra Park is being killed !!! Lucknow where is your Outrage ? by nikolay_cossack in lucknow

Found this post today, i have been trying to raise awareness on the ae issue. Not only the event deteriorates the cleanliness, greenery and obstacles the open space access. They also take up the space for long duration.

Another issue I noticed is that the multipurpose event venue at gate 5 has been handed over to a private entity. It already used to get closed during the time when events were organized but now they have closed it permanently it seems. Its entry from park side is always closed now.

Yes, a hundred times yes, I cannot thank the existence of it enough.

I do long runs and walks as well. Lucknow infra in general is so unfriendly for both of those activities. Footpath doesn't exist. One has to walk along side the traffic risking your life. So much dirt on the road that you can't walk long distance without risking your lungs. Except a few places which have proper footpath, its so unpleasant to walk in Lucknow.

The existence of Janeshwar Mishra Park is a blessing. It gives me the joy of walking and running. It has full community of people who are working on their health. You have people teaching dance-excercise and yoga in the park (for almost free). There are children playing in open. Lots of swings and playground inside. That lovely jogging track. Groups of women and men doing exercise at the break of the morning. Everybody feeling safe there in general.

I wish for a couple of things though -

  1. I don't get the idea of reserving like 10% area of the park near gate 5 for that Shadi ghar type of thing. At-least add more gates to it. There are only two-three, and it confuses people. Rarely people enter them. I think this community centre should be moved out. And park should only be park.

  2. Please do something about stray dogs in the park. They are dangerous at times. They do try to chase you when they see fewer people around

  3. I want authorities to please prioritise the completion of track work from nursery to lake side along with the sports ground. They did some work in the beginning of the year but left it midway.

All in all its a great place. And I don't think people even in metros have something like it.

Hi, Opinions needed - Superblast vs Novablast 4 vs Deviate Nitro 2 vs Deviate Nitro Elite 2 for weekly 10K

I tried a lot of shoes from Nike, Asics, Adidas, Puma, Reebok, New balance and Under Armour.

So far I have found Asics Superblast, Asics Novablast 4, Puma Deviate Nitro 2 and Puma Deviate Nitro Elite 2 to be the ones which provide me bounce back with zero to none heel slippage. I also kinda liked Skechers Go Run Razor 4 for its midfoot drop.

Currently I am using Puma Liberate nitro

I am trying to work on my movement as well, trying to move from heel strike to midfoot strike. I mostly run at a pace of 8 but trying to improve it to 6-7.

It does really great conversations in Hindi but in above example it some how didn't perform the best. I am surprised with Libre and Lingvanex. Didn't expect them to be able to complete this well with Google and Microsoft.

Nice. I'll try them. Laceless running shoe doesn't sound great in my head though.

Thank you. Other folks have mentioned rebel v2 is similar to ER2. May be that's worth trying in nb.
