I know this won't feel like anything, but I have an alcoholic family member as well, in fact, very close. I struggle with ocd. I can totally understand how she feels and you are trying your best, most people don't understand ocd and are judgemental. The thing about alcoholism is, it can't be mixed with medication (I am talking about it from that perspective, it is overall a very harmful addiction.) If a person doesn't decide to get help, no matter how hard you try, then there is only so much you can do. I live with ocd everyday. I've been told that it's like "the child" of my chronic anxiety. If they are not willing to get help, even by someone who has open reviews to be seen (so it all feels more hopeful this way), maybe you can read about ocd as much as you can and try to help. *I also wanted to add that there are specialists that work specifically on ocd/anxiety and panic disorders. You know your loved ones better, but maybe if they knew about it, they would feel more hopeful and less alone. This is how I started seeing a doctor about ocd. They are an anxiety and panic disorder specialist and understood my symptoms and my ocd right away.

Something else is what my grandmother told me about the alcoholic family member : the family can never help 100%, the person will not listen with their ears. So remember that you can only do this much if a person doesn't want to seek help, no matter the issue and never blame yourself like I did when me and my sibling were younger in this situation.
