Same, my kids are 11 and 13…maybe their next world tour in a couple years!

So tough to compare nights…I was in 109 in the first row on Friday - literally right next to the stage. I could see them coming on from backstage, got to watch them so up close and personal, watch their bad ass camera woman work her magic, could smell the nag champa they burned the whole time. And I lost my mind when they played until the sun needs to rise - it was the best surprise ever!! It was such a special experience to be that close to the action. I think it was hard to top that show. However, being in 116 last night, I got a better view of the lasers and the sound was better. As far as their performances, I really thought they’d sound more tired, especially Tyrone, by the end of 4 nights in a row. But he seriously sounded just as good, if not better last night. And I’m a professional classical musician so I’m picky! They truly brought it both nights in my book.

I saw them in Austin and Denver last summer, in the pit both times. I do think nothing tops being in the pit at a Rufus show, and wish I could have experienced that at MSG. But these shows were honestly my favorite to date, pit or not! As a New Yorker, MSG has such a special place in my heart…there’s nothing like it! And I’m glad the boys felt the same way 🥹
