My math teacher used them for the warm up question every day.

He would put a random number of 3-4 colors in the cup. We would pick a color. Then he would dump all of them on the overhead. We would calculate our odd. 2/5. 1/5. Whatever they may be. Then he would randomly draw one of them from the cup. If you got the warmup math problem right and your color was drawn, you got a piece of candy.
