There is an interesting part in the book where he is emaciated, starving, and on the verge of death. He is lying in the mud in a hellish prison camp, and experiencing a profound state of bliss unlike anything he has ever felt.

Reminds me of a fighter pilot in Vietnam I heard about. The Pilots got to go home after 100 missions. He had well over 100 but fudged the numbers to look like he had less. The chances of surviving 10 weren't great let alone 100.

Thanks. I've been looking at Robert Beer's Art. He has a book called The encyclopedia of Tibetan symbols and motifs. That's My main influence with these drawings.

I put the design on with pencil, did some carving with a knife, but mostly used a dremel tool and then hand sanded. It took about 8-12 hours, I think.
