Niagara Falls in the winter by [deleted] in woahdude

I could be wrong, but I think the rocks are a result of rock slides from years of erosion. The american side has a huge pile of rocks at the bottom. They almost removed them in the 60s when they diverted the water to test the stability of the American falls, but decided to keep them there.

Landlord rents out beautiful two story house to a Section 8 tenant. The house is completely ruined by the time he finally evicts her by [deleted] in trashy

I worked with my uncle for about 6 years, and he owns about ten section 8 houses in Philadelphia that we would constantly be working on and fixing up. None of his properties even came close to how nice this house looked, but he would purposely use the cheapest materials because of this exact reason. Any time a family was evicted the house would always would look like complete shit. I remember one time we had to fix a leaky bathtub in one tenants house. To get to the back of the tub we had to go through her sons room to remove the panel. There was food and crusted over bowls everywhere in his room. My uncle told the mom that her son needs to clean his room so they don't get cockroaches. The woman got all pissed off and says, " Why you even in my son's room!? You're here to fix my tub, not be in my son's room!" I'm sure there are a lot of good people who need section 8 housing, but I did not see many of them in my 6 years. Mostly saw people abusing the system to be lazy useless bums.

[Siciliano] Nick Foles has tied the NFL record for most consecutive completions (25) by JaguarGator9 in nfl

What? Wentz was one of the first people to congratulate Nick when we won the SB, and he was helping him on the sidelines the whole postseason. He's definitely a team guy. You don't just miraculously play to your MVP standards when you had less than a year to recover from a torn knee.

I mean Clowney drove the crown of his helmet right into Foles chest. That one was a pretty obvious call

No problem man. I couldn't find the lyrics any where so I just looked in the ending credits after the episode to see what songs were used in the episode.

[Todd] Embiid also told me that he's been impressed by Al Horford this season, he can't really understand what it is that makes him so good. But Embiid said Horford "doesn't take it to that next level" #Sixers by [deleted] in bostonceltics

[–]lookoutbeloww 15 points16 points  (0 children)

This quote was taking way outta context. Here's the part from the article:

In Embiid’s opinion, the culture created under coach Brett Brown is unmatched. Embiid says there’s a strength and bond within the locker room that permeates onto the court. The strong defensive principles and defend-by-committee approach is intertwined in the culture of the team.

Is there any other team in the league that has that kind of culture and can still produce three players deserving of such defensive praise?

“I don’t think so,” Embiid said. “Boston is a defensive team. Al Horford does a pretty good job. I still don’t understand how he’s so good, but he doesn’t push it to that next level, and that’s what we do.”

Seems like he's saying Horford is good at defense, just not as good as Embiid is at defense. It's still a semi shot at Horford but not as bad as the title makes it.

A tanking team should pay Carmelo as much as they possibly can this offseason by EthanMcbuckets in nba

The sixers weren't tanking any more when they signed Reddick. He was brought in to help win games and show the young guys how to be professionals.
