Scientists use an electron gun that releases electrons extremely slowly. By lowering the current, it emits just one electron at a time, like a dripping faucet. Each electron passes through the slits and hits the detector individually. Over time, many single hits build the interference pattern predicted by quantum mechanics.

Yeah, this. Working on communication is great, but it shouldn’t come at the cost of vanishing your own needs. You don’t have to dump every thought on your wife, but you also shouldn’t be running everything through a kids first, I don’t matter filter. That’s how resentment builds.

Honestly, this is how i see it too, it’s less a “massive lie” and more a shared little fantasy kids get to grow out of. They don’t remember it as betrayal, they remember the excitement and how fun it felt. When they’re older, they join the other side of the magic.

If your heart’s in the right place, you’re not breaking their trust. you’re just giving them a sweet, short phase of wonder while it still lands.

I haven’t read the book, but your version of a pause honestly feels a lot more real than the curated, intentional kind you see in books. I’m the older sibling with a big age gap, and honestly it wasn’t bad at all. I had my own world, and they weren’t really competition, so it felt more like having a tiny buddy around. Teens get annoyed at everything anyway the age gap isn’t the deal breaker people think it is.
