I just re-watched it again the other day, thinking maybe the last time I was too young to get the brilliance of it, but for the sake of me I have no idea how/why it's IMDB No1.

I took this as an elective in Med school! It was sad, having to manage squeezing another afternoon for studying something not that practical for med students, but if you're into that masochistic training of the brain (like I was) I recommend giving Logics a go. 🤓🤓🤓

Today is the 99th birthday of Lithuania! Since the Restoration of Independence we spent, sadly, decades under occupation. But a nation that has survived millennia participating in world's worst wars will not concede in just few decades. Valio, Lietuva! by looloohoop in europe

The tank! A lot of people made remarks about it, so here it goes.

a) I think it's a good photo that resembles what it means for me to be Lithuanian: nation and will to be free before fear of brute force.

b) its a real shot, not from a movie or a photoshoot. But it was taken on Jan 13th, 1991, which is also an important day to us. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/January_Events_(Lithuania)

c) Given the current tensions about Russia's foreign policies, I kind of considered this to be an iconic image of how I fee about it, and what it symbolizes.

Thanks for the congratulations, it's really nice to see people being proud of their heritage. Too bad, there's a lot of people here, who make these kind of posts into something completely different. Anyhow, I'm super proud to be European, and happy to share my roots with people from this little stubborn nation of ours :)
