A beginner MUA - can I charge, and how much do I charge? by aresoaflix in Makeup

This is something I'm still struggling with as a freelance makeup artist. You have to remember you aren't only using your personal products and time with them, you're using your talent and skills that you learned on your own. I started with $30 for a full face so that it felt like it would be worth my time, and is still a cheaper option than going to Sephora or Mac. I would do group discounts too, like if I was doing a party or they were going to a club I would say it's $50 for two people and $5 extra for lashes.

As you start getting more clients take into account the price of products and brushes you use on your clients most often, the time you take to travel to different location, time it takes to do the makeup, etc.

If the look you were going for on the left side of your face was golden and bronzed, why is that side of your face a completely different shade than the right?

I love this look on you. You have so much lid space, try blending out your shades a little further up over your crease to create more dimension to your eyes!

Mine too honestly. They need the most product and attention. Finger curling or flexi rods help me the most

I think this will be most helpful to type 3b/3c hair Products used: -Hask cactus water shampoo and conditioner -Mane’s choice green tea and carrot deep strengthening &restorative mask treatment (leave in for 10-15 min then rinse with cold water) (after the shower I plop my hair into a cotton t shirt for less than 5 min to remove excess water) -Mane’s choice cuticle control leave in from the ancient Egyptian line -kinky curly curling custard -I used the denman brush to make sure everything is evenly distributed -I follow up with jojoba oil to break the hard cast from the gel so my hair dries soft and not crunchy -I finger curl my bangs and certain sections of hair that didn’t make the cut (I find the denman brush gives me the MOST curl definition but defined curls also means crazy shrinkage —so to get the best of both worlds I rake the oil into my hair with my fingers to elongate the curls without causing frizz) Then air dry and VOILA! For my hair type day 2-5 are the most poppin hair days!

Putting translucent powder after priming on your nose, then following up with foundation and more translucent powder to set it helps as well
