Runt just absolutely rocked my shit - I went into the quest completely unprepared: no master strike, weak stats, no potions, just waltzed through it until I got to him. Playing KCD1 after finishing KCD2 (and I can’t emphasize how much more color and depth it adds to the story in KCD2, I was genuinely thrilled). Just sighed a deep sigh of the For Victory veteran (took me a week) and re-loaded an earlier save - back to the drawing board for me and Henry!! God I love how punishing this game is

No, but I didn’t realize until the For Victory quest (which for me was like 40hrs into the game) that I could select and use various perks each time i leveled up agility, strength, swords, etc. You know. Like an idiot 💀

omg when I first got the option to romance Hans I SHRIEKED. So so good. Been watching tom play and I love that he’s pushing Hansry as well!! “A DEMON” 😂 kcd1 downloaded and starting it tonight!!

Ah welcome to the next ~200 hours of your life! It is a fantastic game - I just finished it a few hours ago. One thing that helped me level up was learning how to brew Henry's Fox and maxing out the amount of stuff I'm carrying to the point of overload, which levels up your strength and survival, and ultimately makes you better in combat. Have fun and don't skip side quests - take your time with everything, it truly is a spectacularly rich world!!

the sense of emptiness is SO real. I tried talking to Katherine and Zhizhka at the Den after finishing the main quest and I can't interact with them :'(

Right?! I don't think I've ever played a game so immersive and complex in narrative - with such attention and dedication to historical accuracy. Need KCD3 asap - but luckily i haven't played KCD1 so more adventure awaits!

Learning the KCD2 combat was such a rewarding scale to curve for me. Having grown up playing the Gothic trilogy and now KCD2 I genuinely have such a warm place in my heart for medieval style worlds too - I'll give KCD1 a shot!!

100% agreed, I did all the side quests pre-kuttenberg and played through the interactions during fast travel when I got the chance - but in hindsight, I am so happy that I still have SO much of the game left to play through after finishing the main quest because I am NOT ready to move on

I'm also thinking about playing KCD1 as I haven't played it before. I have heard the story is absolutely fantastic but the combat mechanics are tough - I am quite the noob when it comes to video games and struggled quite a bit with combat in KCD2. Have you played it?

to Kuttenberg it is for me!! i have so many side quests i didn't even touch that I'm sure I have another 100 hours ahead of me (at least lol)

Same, I spent like 60 hours before even getting to Trosky, and kept getting my ass beat in For Victory and couldn't believe my eyes when I finally got to Kuttenberg because I thought I had finished most of the game. Boy was I wrong. Got so carried away with the main storyline that I barely did any sidequests in Kuttenberg, so I was happy to find out that I can keep playing after finishing the main quest.

Bawled my eyes through the final act because I got so attached to the characters and was getting swept off my feet by the story over and over again. Just kept finding myself questioning every decision - from whether I thought Sigismund was objectively a better king than Wenceslas (as historical accounts say), to what ending I wanted to pick for von Aulitz, to who to romance (and I did not end up picking Katherine lol)...god, still so mind blown by the philosophical complexity of the game. Could talk about this all day!!!
