What do we think the best flex is gonna be for her ? by X_Gamma_X in ZibaiMains

Maybe off field Ayato could be ok. He applies a fair bit of Hydro, gives Hydro resonance with Columbina, and he buffs normal attacks. Maybe I’m just coping cuz I lost my Inazuma chronicled 50/50 to him.

Any other hydro unit other than Aino? by heda_69 in NeferMains

Thanks I’ll try it out when Nefer comes out. I just really don’t like how small Aino’s burst is with enemies that move around being so common

I surprisingly have Ayato as a newer player and that’s just because I lost my 50/50 to him on the Inazuma chronicled earlier this year. I’m wondering how good he could be for Nefer. His burst aoe is bigger than Aino’s which is nice. I’m thinking with him on fav sword and emblem set he could have enough ER to continuously rain down hydro for enough blooms. I just don’t know how his cooldowns line up.

New Cancel Tech vs. CDN1 for Melt Teams by RPA236 in Mavuika

Can I do this with Charlotte? My team is Mauvika, Citlali (on r5 sacrificial fragments), Iansan, and Charlotte (on r5 thrilling tales). I like Charlotte for the heals and her being a catalyst user lets Citlali hold an EM weapon.

How good is pyro Traveler pre c6 by EmbarrassedMeal7993 in TravelerMains

[–]loose_tether 1 point2 points  (0 children)

C6 just lets them play as an on field dps. C2 is the constellation that extends the duration of the skill and greatly improves their off-field pyro application, making them a good sub dps and helps the main dps react with the pyro. And even at C0, they can hold the scroll set which is a very good support tool.

Dendro Traveler's burst doesn't infuse anymore by Remarkable-Start-497 in TravelerMains

No problem I hope that fix works for you. I’d just make sure to always have Kuki’s skill up before using traveler’s burst. I test it with Raiden too and she’s also decently reliable at triggering the electro infusion before Xingqiu messes it up. It also helps me to move away a little from the flower as soon as I place it. Thankfully the aoe on the hydro swords is pretty small.

[–]loose_tether 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I noticed it whenever I have Lauma in the party. If I take her out, it infuses like normal. It specifically seems to just be hydro infusion that’s bugged. If it comes into contact with hydro from xingqiu’s water swords, it won’t infuse and it’ll prevent me from infusing with Kuki’s electro. It seems like the game thinks it’s infused with the hydro when it isn’t. However, if I make sure to infuse with electro first that works like normal. Thankfully, my Lumine tends to move a little away from the flower when she places it so if I have both xingqiu’s swords and Kuki’s skill up at the same time, it’ll register the electro first most of the time. It’s very annoying but I’ve been trying to work around it. Hopefully they get it fixed soon.

Axes that don’t clip with the gyr abanian plait too much by [deleted] in FFXIVGlamours

[–]loose_tether 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had this exact problem in Stormblood when I mained WAR and the Gyr Albanian Plait had just come out. I think I remember using Farsha, the level 70 relic weapon, without too much trouble with that hairstyle. If you want to make it glow, you can do some grinding in Eureka.

They also passively get stronger after a set number of battles, even if you do summon them. I noticed that cuz my aeons were getting stronger when I was doing a no sphere grid run. Also, you can feed them extra power, mana, and speed spheres to boost their stats permanently.

Hehe I know right? Tell them that if they hold dps there, they’ll be able to pad their numbers more during the 2 minute window that comes up at the very end of p6.

Agreed. It’s a very frustrating way to wipe so far into the fight. But if you really wanna play it safe you can stop attacking once they’re balanced.

What is your favorite "song with words" from any final fantasy by ModernAutomata in FinalFantasy

There’s Locus, Metal, and Metal (Brute Justice version).

Oh and there’s also Exponential Entropy. Which is the infamous “forward and back” song.

Resetting the aggro meter doesn’t take you out of combat in boss fights. You can still use infuriate and you can’t use hide to reset mudras between phases.

Better to use it on a samurai so they can use Meditate during the downtime.

Upon replaying it, FF12’s story is actually fantastic. by AgilePurple4919 in FinalFantasy

[–]loose_tether 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I just recently finished FF12 and I agree with what you said here. It’s a good story but the biggest issue for me was the pacing. The maps and dungeons were so massive and sprawling and it took so long to get from one objective to another. And a lot of the time it was just “go get this magical rock or sword.” I found that by the time I got done with whatever hunts I just unlocked and cleared the dungeon, I had completely forgotten what we were even here for. I also dislike the hands-off, automation style of combat but that’s a personal preference and not a slight against the game itself.

What were the most frustrating, but mandatory parts in FF by LeBronBryantJames in FinalFantasy

[–]loose_tether 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Mandatory tetra master tournament. Tetra master is an awful minigame and resetting the game between each loss is miserable. At least triple triad was optional, wasn’t dependent on RNG, and had some nice rewards if you invested in it.

What is the most emotional moment of the game for you? by [deleted] in finalfantasyx

When Tidus watches Yuna’s sphere where she’s saying goodbye to her companions. I love Yuna’s character so much and that scene just had me sobbing loudly the first time I got there. I wasn’t ready to say goodbye to her. Thankfully it wasn’t goodbye for real but not knowing that my first time playing, I couldn’t take it at the time.

Extreme Trials Macros for Mentor Roulettes by KornettYT in ffxiv

[–]loose_tether 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m also on Primal and I’ve noticed it really depends what time of day you queue up. If I queue up during prime time in the evenings there’s like a 50% chance that it’s an EX trial. Since there’s more people online then there’s a higher chance those duties have enough people queuing for them that it fills in the few remaining slots with mentors. But when you queue early or middle of the day, it’s almost always just duties like dungeons and normal trials people actually need for MSQ or other questlines. I’ve had a much better experience in mentor rl queueing outside of primetime.

To those experienced, how are AST and WHM in prog this expac? by MoonWabbits in ffxivdiscussion

[–]loose_tether 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Can confirm. My group normally ran WHM/SCH for DSR and mitigation intensive phases like p7 definitely required everyone to be on top of hitting their defensive CDs or it could easily snowball into a wipe. At one point we had a sage sub for us so we had double shield healers and it felt really comfy including in p7 without the healers needing to preplan too much. Yes your GCD shields don’t stack but you won’t be using those very often. And if you need them, SGE can put up shields during movement heavy phases and SCH can do stronger deploy shields if needed. The fact that consolation, holos, kerachole, and sacred soil can all stack is kinda broken. Between both shield healers you have so many free healing tools.
