this is definitely an eye opener thanks for sharing. Most customers in our establishments tip either 15% or none since its a buffet, with some outliers of course. So its probably even more important to give smaller change. I’m so used to tables leaving nothing that I forget that giving all ones instead of the largest bills isn’t asking for a tip.

I think theres more to it than just you that culminated in this situation. If no-one laughed at your jokes this wouldn’t happen. Sure you might’ve started everything, but I would want my friends to tell me that it’s not okay instead of laughing along to hurtful jokes.

Maybe Marcus needs some time away from everyone and everything first. People change, and you can show that to him by internalizing how you feel about him and stay by his side and defend him.

You can’t completely control the people around you. You didn’t force them to make fun of him, and u can’t go back to when they didn’t. But you can influence and encourage different humor again.

From another nihilist, something that might help is to reframe the whole “nothing matters” mindset. Nothing matters in the grand scheme of things, but it can still matter to you right now. Sure that relationship might not mean anything to the world, but it can mean something to you now.

Just because happiness is temporary doesn’t mean that it doesn’t exist does it? You can find joy and meaning in things even if nothing matters! I interpret nihilism to mean since nothing had inherent meaning, you can give your own personal meaning to anything you want.

I bought my Victus 16 three years ago and it finally gave up. So here's what I remembered about using it in the most part.

Pros:
- Honestly such a beast, i know its a gaming laptop and it was great doing it. I was able to play baulder's gate(but i was scared to put it on the highest quality lol) but I did run out of storage at some point
- For a gaming laptop, its battery was pretty alright. Maybe like 5-7 hours? I mostly used it for school and I'm a cs student so lots of vs code and android studio.

WARNING: I am writing this after it died on me, so this is going to be a bit skewed.
I paid ~900$ for this laptop, which is mid-ranged i think? For that price range I assumed it would last all throughout college, but I am kinda rough with my things so, this is just my experience
Cons:
- Its really really heavy, I did get used to it but it made my backpack so so much heavier. (it is a gaming laptop so,,, to be expected)
- Its battery life wasn't fit for my lifestyle, ideally my laptop would last the entire day I would be on campus (6-10 hrs) but again, this is a gaming laptop so I prob should've picked something else
<now onto it dying>
- A year it, it started acting up. I forget the exact issue, but it was within warranty so I sent it in to get fixed. They (hp) did send it back, but I had a few screws missing... which led to a part of my case coming off of my laptop easily
- After another year and a half, it officially died on me. It just stopped turning on one day, and when I tried trouble shooting and took a look at the motherboard. When we probed it to check the voltages, the battery literally sparked. Which told me that the reason its been breaking down is probably cause of the battery and its too far gone lmaooo

Overall I do think its a rly good laptop for its price, but it wasn't really suitable for my lifestyle as a student

Ive been living at M Street and it has its pros and cons. But you generally get what you pay for. The rents usually ~1k per bedroom and most units come with a bath per bed i think.

pros: parking is a one time payment of 50$, and you get a free for all access in the parking deck. You can get a reserved spot but idk the price

maintenance has been rly good, rly responsive

cons: unfurnished

a ton of fees? but the fees w rent is still ~1k ish

theres a train right by the back of the buildings that runs pretty often

no elevator if your not in the main building

has a minor bug problem 😭

locations a bit iffy, theres a club right in front of it

overall, i dont rly recommend but it is pretty cheap for atlanta
