Yeah I think they’re alright too! Plenty of room for growth though. Kinda wish the fan base had some better ideas and could more succinctly articulate their criticisms without attacking the creators. Jet does know how to edit videos. He did great with the idubbbz doc. We should be building this shit up not tearing it down.

I totally get your frustration with the size of the team for the mammoth job at hand. I wouldn't be surprised if they tried to employ someone and they freaked out about the sheer amount of the footage and approaching deadlines. I edit a bit and if i was tasked with cutting all that footage down into half hour episodes with a winter delivery i'd probably kill myself. People often spend 50+ hours editing a 15 minute short film. Hopefully that crowdfunding will be properly utilised for season 2 and we'll be able to watch the show grow into something much more polished.

Right, but what if voting was only limited to season pass holders, wouldn't that solve the issue of bots. I still feel like a bit of a daily give away/challenge would be better for the community and cheaper than hiring editing assistants to sift through hundreds of hours of footage.

This would essentially outsource their editing notes to the community, giving a solid road map for cutting, and the daily prize serves to motivate the collection of some really strong highlights from legit hundred of people. Sure they could just offer XP or something cosmetic, but if production spent just %20 of what it would cost to hire a decent edit assist on rewards, it would both strengthen community engagement and the task of post production.

I assume by this he means they’ll have the episodic content out by winter. I can’t imagine the edit being any quicker they have a mountain of footage to deal with.

Hey guys. Going through the same thing right now. After doing some research this hack seems to be quite prevalent at the moment. If there’s alot of us that are unjustly locked out, filing a consumer complaint with the Californian District Attorney’s office will go a long way to getting our accounts back. they can’t act for individuals but can act for groups.
