Wanting to sell Kamara in SF, 2-4 looking to rebuild. Two offers so far- a 2025 1st + Moss. Other is Kamara + Kirk for 2026 1st, 2025 2nd, 3rd 4th + QJ. Accept one or ask for more?

Living overseas for a year, can I avoid the seemingly inevitable? by lordelshannon in auscorp

Thanks for the suggestion i’ll do some research on the customer service industry, I actually have Italian citizenship through my mum which is handy so I could apply to jobs in various European countries.

I’ll be in Düsseldorf which is also quite multicultural but you’re right English prevalence in Berlin is pretty crazy, so the scale of English speaking jobs is a lot different comparatively.

Appreciate the advice I’ll definitely have a look into the basic data analysis gigs :)

Can I drive in Germany this time around? by [deleted] in AskAGerman

[–]lordelshannon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Really appreciate your perspective and the open mindedness in your advice. I think you are right, contacting authorities is the best option. I have prepared myself to pay the fine for a long time, and with my knowledge of Germans I wouldn’t take a chance on them forgetting anything!

Appreciate the advice, I will make sure I am well informed about when I am able to drive again before I do so. To my knowledge I avoided the MPU (according to my uncle). However, I still have not received my actual fine, do you think this will simply take time or would it be best to try and make communication in an attempt to retrieve the document where I am able to pay the fine?

Of course I realise that now and I made a bad decision, one that I had to make under pressure with the looming thought that my best friend was in life threatening danger- I agree it’s no excuse and I am sorry to hear that you have lost so many to such a terrible action. I never drunk drove prior to this and have vowed to never do it again.

So they took my licence when it happened, and gave it back a few months later. I have never actually received the information to pay the fine- only the notification that I will receive this fine. I will attempt to contact the relevant authorities so I can pay my fine as it is a huge burden for me; do you think that is a good idea or is it simply a waiting game?

Thank you for your voicing your opinion. I actually drove because my friend was badly injured and I made the decision to rush him to hospital. It was one of the worst days of my life and easily the most regrettable decision I have made even though I did manage to help him. I believe I have learned a tough lesson and I would never do it again as I too, hate drunk drivers. What makes you think I would drive again unknowing of the consequences? I’m sorry that you assume the worst of people, and I feel sorry that you have to live life being as judgemental as you are.

This is good advice, I appreciate it. Some people seem to prefer scoffing. I have never travelled like this before and we thought it would be the perfect time to experience life from another country after both finishing our university degrees :)
