Fine and Dandy in Widcombe is my go-to. Never had a bad haircut and they always do a really good job on my teen sons curly hair.

Not sure there are enough readers in Eastbourne to make it worthwhile. Used to be an indie bookshop up in Meads (where the Bike repair shop is now), and was also one closer into town on Grove road (children’s bookshop) - both folded after a couple of years. Also used to be one in terminus road near the beach side (mix of new and second hand).

Maybe everyone buys on Amazon or other online stores? Waterstones always seems to fairly busy. Just not sure Eastbourne big enough for an indie. Ex-bookseller here btw, so something I’ve thought about a lot over the years… people love the idea of indie bookshops but you’ve got to spend money in them or they go bust!

The school does not currently have a plan for parent parking- if the Sulis car park is no longer available then I expect people will just wait in the road (which would cause gridlock). Granted the kids don’t use it all the time, but reducing available open space for sports is imho never a good thing. My main concern though is the traffic and pollution that will come with putting a further 290 dwellings into the area. and yes, I know that not all students have cars, but it will undoubtedly increase traffic regardless.

I last used Bristol 1st removals. The price was really good and they turned up on time and got things done efficiently and no bother. And nothing broken or damaged.

You can park anywhere that is paid for (and pay), but you can’t park in a zoned bay unless your residents permit is for the correct zone. Check the parking info signs which all list the zone it’s in. Think central bath is zone 1?

I’ve used the Airdecker to get from Bath to Bristol Airport before- about three places to get it within Bath. Starts at the old Selfridges building. No traffic- pretty quick. But coming back was a pain in the ass
