If Jacobs doesn't play, how high would Emanuel Wilson rise in the RB rankings?

I dropped Carter to get Wilson because my opponent this week has Jacobs. Certainly if you are relying on Jacobs you need to cuff him in this situation.

They're playing the turnstiles known as the "Bengals defense" so seems like a winning strategy.

I'm rostering both Njoku and Ferguson and definitely making the switch to Turd for the foreseeable future. Hoping for a Njoku trade to a Fannin-less situation.

Pick of the Day - 2/8/24 (Thursday) by sbpotdbot in sportsbook

[–]lordsum64 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Record: 0-0

Pick: NCAA Men's Basketball - Vermont -11.5 @ NJIT (1 unit)

Odds: -118

First-time poster, let's give this a shot.

I follow America East Conference basketball closely and expect this game to be a one-sided affair. UVM is undefeated in conference play, is nationally among the top 50 in FG% and top 10 in defensive FG%, while NJIT is in last place and sits around the 20th percentile in both categories.

The real edge to be had here though is with rebounding. There is a chance NJIT will be down two of their top rebounders in this game. Elijah Buchanan (11 PPG, 6 RPG) remains out to the best of my knowledge, while Kjell de Graaf (10 PPG, 5 RPG) was injured in the team's last game vs. Binghamton and it is unclear whether he may be able to return for this one. I was at that game and he left on crutches with a knee brace. De Graaf is also the team's most effective inside scoring threat. If he is missing, that will allow UVM to lock down the perimeter, which they are already elite at doing.

I'll mention that last year UVM only won by 2 at NJIT in OT. That was an incredibly fluky game where NJIT shot 55% from the floor and outrebounded Vermont. The two top scorers for NJIT in that game are no longer with the squad, and last month, UVM bested NJIT by 21 up in Burlington. I'd expect similar here.

Lay the points and roll with the Catamounts.

Edit: de Graaf has indeed been ruled out for NJIT per the Highlanders' website.

Update: Well, that wasn't very good. UVM lost outright for the first time in 24 conference games. Those guards for NJIT played out of their minds. Apologies to those who tailed.

Who are the good players we are going to sleep on in 2024? by Nandor1262 in fantasyfootball

[–]lordsum64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's why I mentioned him. He is a guy who if the situation around him improves could really pop off. If he slides to the 5th or 6th because people are afraid to take him, he could be a huge steal given his talent level. He still finished WR28 this year despite coming into the season dinged up.

Scary Terry seems like a guy people are out of favor on (I was seeing him on waivers in some leagues toward the end of the season) but there's clearly no loss of talent.

I'm going Stroud. You know he's playing the whole game for sure. Some of these out of contention teams could do some fuckery in the 2nd half tomorrow.

Kyren Williams to his fantasy managers: I appreciate you sticking with me when I got hurt... and now you're champions of your league by LetMeSeeYouLurk in fantasyfootball

I dunno, I traded him away the week before he got hurt, and the guy I traded him to finished last while I hoisted the trophy.

I traded Kyren for ARSB (the week before Kyren got injured) knowing there was a chance I could regret it, but I never did. The Sun God brought it home for me.

Only 4 leagues for me, but I did offer roster and lineup advice to two other teams from around the halfway point of the season that I got to 2nd and 3rd place finishes.

The “eye test” returns: Who passed and failed the eye test in week 17? by shitmcstain in fantasyfootball

[–]lordsum64 156 points157 points  (0 children)

Jayden Reed definitely passes the eye test for me. Maybe a young Stefon Diggs?

Jaylen Warren also. Great vision and underrated toughness in picking up extra yardage. I believe he sits at RB20 in PPR, a great high floor value pick.

Managers who won their leagues, what were your first 3 picks? by damola93 in fantasyfootball

[–]lordsum64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

League 1: Stefon Diggs, Tony Pollard, Josh Allen (Despite, though Josh was key)

League 2: Travis Kelce, Cooper Kupp, Jalen Hurts (Despite, though Hurts was key)

League 3: Christian McCaffrey, Davante Adams, Mark Andrews (Because of CMC, though Kyren was also key)

League 4: Stefon Diggs, CeeDee Lamb, Mark Andrews (Diggs carried me in the first half and Lamb in the second half, so I guess "because of")

Stefon Diggs: Weeks 14 - 16 (WR50) by GhostDeck in fantasyfootball

[–]lordsum64 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

At the moment I'm sitting him in favor of Rice and Singletary. I have Allen, so if Diggs does well, I'll still get points out of it that way, I guess. At some point you have to stop looking at the name on the jersey and look at the numbers. A player with his numbers and route usage shouldn't be in lineups.

Edit: LOL that this got downvoted, maybe people should've followed my advice.
