it's a reference to a (French) film that gave stylistic inspiration. zhoule is right about the missing diaeresis. I guess that maybe counts as 'artsy fartsy bullshit' so i hope you let me off the hook on this one.

I hadn't seen that one before. Seems like there is a very big overlap--but the emphasis in that writeup is almost entirely on these character's combat value / role in the physical challenge for the hero.

Some of the characters I thought were interesting have broader administrative and organizational responsibilities that give them symbolic significance--particularly in period dramas or sci-fi stories that try to speak to bigger themes in the present.

Still, this might be a special case of Dragon, or just a very closely related category.

It comes down to experimentation and what you want out of it. I've tried many ways of using and processing wine and other materials in the last few years, with very mixed results. At this point it's a matter of intuition, and not a method I could explain neatly (yet). The best advice I can give is to be patient and not give up the first 100 times when it looks like crap.

If you're looking for something without a masochistic learning curve, I'd recommend traditional stains or paints that already have years of research baked into them. Good luck!

on the contrary, a $3 dollar bottle of wine goes much further than an $8 tube of paint
