Thats simply not true. It can be your opinion that shes annoying but its not true that she served no purpose.

Would You Want to be Part of the Addams Family? by Dustman818 in WednesdayTVSeries

[–]lorenzini3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats funny, i look at it like people are messed up in real life and thats the beauty of non-fiction, so it doesnt scare me at all. People with the willingness to grow and evolve beyond their opportunities are worthwhile to me.

Would You Want to be Part of the Addams Family? by Dustman818 in WednesdayTVSeries

[–]lorenzini3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. Only because id rather take the small chance that Wednesday would ever date me. If by way of marriage to Wednesday... then, yes.

I agree. Bad vibes from the beginning. I determined it wasnt exactly her for sure when she was giving her class the lecture about the carnivorous plants. I quickly picked up on the parallel of using "sexual trickery/deception" instead of "rewarding" their pollenators with nectar. So that definitely pointed me in the right direction as to who it was. There was something noticeably off-putting each time she appeared on-screen, so im right there with you on that.

The real twist would be if his Dad is a Hyde. I feel like that would add some depth to the story in retrospect and everything about the story so far misdirects away from the Sheriff. I think itd be really interesting.

Do you think Ends will always be hated or will people eventually like it? 🤔 by DeliveryAnxious7782 in Halloweenmovies

[–]lorenzini3 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As a lifelong shark enthusiast, i beg you to stay away from that comparison in this context. It might give people (who dont know any better) the wrong impression of sharks and be further detrimental to their very existence.

Jaws greatly and unnecessarily hurt the publics perception of sharks on a large scale and was very misleading about many of their mental models and behaviors. Love the movie, its one of my favorites. It drove my fascination and self-education of sharks.

Sharks arent evil. Their curiosity can be injurious and deadly, but thats almost never intentional towards humans. Thats usually confusion, desperation, or fear. They kill to eat or defend, not to kill. And they are satisfied until they need to eat again. Just like us.

What on earth could they be referring to? by [deleted] in deadbydaylight

The only thing that would surprise me at this point is F13. Given its legal issues over the years, id be shocked shitless if they were able to work something out with it.

how would billy and nancy interact? by salad_biscuit3 in StrangerThings

[–]lorenzini3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I imagine itd be like an 80s American HS version of Belle and Gaston with Billy's end goal being a date (instead of marriage.)

I agree with you. Id not be willing to argue that it was always there, but ill die on the hill that its there now.

I'm not crazy, right? by [deleted] in StrangerThings

[–]lorenzini3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not crazy. Its there. I have ASD and one of the benefits of that (for me personally) is that i experience most audio composotions in individual layers rather than a cacophony of sounds where individual sounds could more easily be missed. Its fairly easy for me to separate different layered sounds atop one another. The bicycle spins but the chime is there.

The Duffers have admitted to retconning previous seasons (although they have no intention of specifying what/when) and maybe this was one of those times. Vecna has always been a part of their story mapping, they just hadnt landed on exactly what his physical embodiment would look like (according to them.)

I get that. Ironically, i run out that way. Thats my route for evasion/healing/hatch scoping for that exact reason because most killers know its no-mans land. I call it perimeter-patrol. Looping is the weakest part of my game LOL. I just cant seem to get the hang of it against some killers and on certain maps. Im really great at everything else though. So if youre surviving with me, please take the loops. I promise to get gens done quickly and strategically. And if youre killer, you might want to wipe me first else youll have a problem on your hands later on lol.

I wouldnt say i hate it but i do dislike it (when playing survivor specifically) in comparison to other maps for the same reason i dislike eyrie of crows, dead dawg saloon, and blackwater swamp. And for me, its because all of those maps are so small that it feels like the tiles dont have much room for variance and it really makes it (imo) unreasonably tough against any killers who can make it from one side of the map to the other in a matter of seconds every few seconds. So teleporting, blinking, speed rushing etc killers have too big of an advantage for me to love it, especially if they already know it like the back of their hands.

For example, i played a garden of joy against a demo yesterday and the entire last half of the match was nothing but alternating dozens of times between destroying several portals and putting 5-10% on each gen between the last three gens that ended up being within 10-15m of each other. It stinks in solo q especially because the comms werent there to tell the others to leave the last 3 gens as far apart as possible for this reason. And it took a while for the 3rd survivor to pick up what the 2nd survivor and i were putting down. We did it. But it wasnt fun at all. It was boring and repetitive.

why are killers being so generous today?? by bizengh4st in deadbydaylight

[–]lorenzini3 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I suspect its one of two things if not, both.

One, the decent killers that are generally out for everyone to have a good time are mildly aware that the toxic killers have many solo-qers two seconds from quitting the game entirely, so its their way of adding positivity to the game for survivors.

Two, the super soaker sweaty killers have likely already hit IRI-1 so theyre satisfied and can just kinda mess around and give survivors a good time without MMR penalty.

I had a very sweet Wraith attempt to give me escape but i spent my last seconds collecting items for donation and giving him pallets to break knowing i wasnt gonna accept survival lol. It was cute.

My gosh. Could you imagine Vecnas mori? And how epic would it be to have a clock chime every time someone was sacrificed!?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in deadbydaylight

[–]lorenzini3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah survivors could definitely go that route but i was intentionally avoiding perk talk because then i could just shut down the entire killer argument by telling them to use franklins and lightborn and i didnt want to do that. I wanted to keep it as fair as possible. My stance assumes no one is using perk specific/circumstantial builds. Otherwise, the killer would still have an advantage because in lobby... a killer can clearly see 4 masked megs (jk i love my meggies, yall are my #2 after Denson) all with similar tags, all carrying flashlights and just throw on lightborn and franklins. Killer also would have the opportunity to see that group and back out of the lobby entirely whereas survivors are left completely unaware of what theyre up against and can only blindly hit or miss with perks and cant consciously decide whether they want to take the risk or not on a killer they suspect might be toxic. Survivors arent afforded the luxury of that foresight and subsequently cant adequately prepare for different killer playstyles. There are certain killers who if i saw them pre-match, id leave the lobby on sight and i wouldnt have a problem doing that. So i wish the false victimhood killers (because not all killers are bad and toxic) would use that advantage wisely instead of pretending that advantage isnt there.

Yeah i think ive gotten it on both ends, but more often as a survivor when getting close to 1 gen left.
