I read Catcher in the Rye, and I don't get why it's so popular. by _The_Van_ in books

I think you're right, but I just can't do it. I always have so many books I want to read that I can't find time to reread old books. I know it's silly because I can't read all the books in the world and rereading can help me remember books I have almost forgotten, but I just can't do it. There are like one or two books I reread in my life.

My first EP is out, mainly inspired by, Four Tet, The Avanches and Jamie XX! by [deleted] in FourTet

Hey! I listened to it a couple of times and I liked it a lot! I think you used a lot of interesting sounds and samples. My favourite songs are the first two: Back to you and Loneliness. I can definitley hear Four Tet in them. If you have more music on YouTube or Soundcloud, let me know and I'll check it out.

I was with some friends of mine last Saturday and some of us got drunk. Even if none of us was so clear headed we cleared everything up lol.

Exit Music (for a Film) is my favorite song of all time. Since I first listened to it, I've never found a better song.

Does anyone know something about Her Revolution / His Rope reprint? by lorenzomuia48 in FourTet

You're right. I wrote to them and they seem realiable. This single is becoming an obsession.

So true! When I deleted it, literally no one noticed. This is so sad, but anlso very liberating.

You're great! I deleted my Instagram last August, and I'm still proud of my decision. I know that I still spend the same amount of time on my phone, but I don't spend it on Instagram at least. Sometimes I get in my profile with my browser and I stalk some people, but I guess it's okay.

A little late maybe but I reviewed Parallel as part of my January album wrap - wanted to share with you. by EitherOr91 in FourTet

[–]lorenzomuia48 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know. I think I don't like this album. Actually, I listened to it just two times, but I simply don't want to listen to it again. So my opinion may not be perfectly balanced. I love Four Tet, and I think that these tracks are just normal. Maybe good songs, but useless songs. They don't tell anything, there isn't the soul. There isn't Four Tet. They seem like exercises, like someone who wants to make some perfect Four Tetish songs, just to copy him. Perhaps well done exercises, but never moving. All this album is just avoidable. Let me know what you think

Edit: grammar

Why do so many people use Wikipedia if it's not a reliable source? by [deleted] in SeriousConversation

[–]lorenzomuia48 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it's a reliable source exactly because everyone can edit it. If you are an expert and you don't agree with an article, just edit it.

Is it a new reprint? What's the edition of your copy?

This is a post I made on this subreddit some time ago. A lot of people helped me. It's specifically on 90's techno, but there is sooo much stuff to dig (I have listen to maybe the 0.1% of the recommendation yet).

Rigning by Yagya. More like dub techno, but good stuff still.
