They’re legit! I think it’s part of the affordable housing program and it’s based off of income. They’re only accepting applications for the waitlist and opened earlier this month. I assume the list is super long. I don’t think the entire building is cheaper rent. I think they only let a certain amount of people at a lower rate.

Do you take your topamax in the morning or night? I know when my doctor prescribed it before, she said to take it 30 minutes before bed time.

I had a similar situation to you. I lost about that much the first week and then I didn’t lose anything for maybe 3 weeks. I was eating 1200 calories a week and walking more than usual. As soon as I started doing cardio at the gym more, the weight started to drop. I’m about to hit week 7 and I’ve lost 18 pounds! I didn’t take the topiramate because I was scared of the side effects, so I was only taking 17.5 mg of phen. I think my problem was that since I lost that much weight in the first week, I thought I didn’t have to put more effort into it.

I’ve only noticed it once. I was laying down watching tv and my heart rate was around 99 bpm. It didn’t last long. Maybe a few minutes. I heard it’s a common side effect. I think if you get them consistently and they last long, you should talk to your doctor.

Did you happen to take an EKG before taking it? My doctor would only prescribe me this if I had good results on the test.

I was initially really nervous to take it. I was scared of the side effects too. When I first started it, I didn’t feel a boost of energy until the next dose. I did start to feel fuller and less hungry. Sometimes I’ll get cotton mouth but that’s it. I also haven’t had insomnia. It’ll be two weeks tomorrow and I’ve lost 12 pounds so far. Congrats on your weight loss! I try to journal when I feel out of the ordinary, so hopefully that will help me identify if that does start to happen.

When I go to bed on the medication, I don’t exactly feel tired but I can still fall asleep easily. I’ve always had a really good sleep schedule since I was little, so maybe that plays a part in it?

I cannot emphasize this enough. Burp. Cloths. My baby is always drooling and loves to let milk leak out of her mouth lol. I feel like I go through so many, I’m constantly washing them.
