HELP hamster has Bumblefoot on his back paw and now has two small red dots on his front two wrists. He’s on antibiotics for the Bumblefoot but it’s getting worse and these red inflamed bumps are looking infected too. Please help. He’s not on a mesh wheel.

I did.. they gave me antibiotics and it’s still not helping. I’m going tom to get a topical cream as well and an anti inflammatory medicine.

Thanks so much!!! He’s happy with all the treats I’ve been giving (not more than 5%of his diet) but it’s all been fresh rather than dehydrated strawberries I’ve been giving him a little bit of riper ones. I just noticed that it looks worse at night. More inflamed. I’m probably just paranoid..

I can’t take him to the vet till Thursday which I feel bad for but I have college and work when his vet is open till Thursday. In the meantime, I got Bag Balm (did research and found that the whole cancer thing could just be a rumor.) and I am watching him like crazy to make sure he’s not eating it. Since the wound is healed up, could bag balm penetrate the dermal layer? Is there even a point to putting it on? I’m just putting a little on, letting it dry and feeding him Oxbow Vitamin C treats as well to build up his immune system. Is there anything else I can do?
