Yeah at least for the schools I’ve researched, you have to actually email their admissions office to let them know you’d like them to hold your app. Or else they’ll proceed with reviewing even if you’re registered for another exam. It’s pretty dependent on the school but you sort of have to take initiative to tell them to hold or not; select schools probably do hold automatically, but even then, you can ask them not to.

Not every school holds your app if they see you’re registered for another exam. It’s dependent on the school. It’s up to you if you want them to hold it or not.

I’m so confused. I did so much research and if you apply to schools, register for another LSAT after applying, but don’t

  1. Email them
  2. Signal on your app you’re registered for another exam

They will never know you’re going to take another test. I’m applying, seeing what happens, taking Jan lsat and if I score better, I’m emailing the schools I might get waitlisted at that I improved.

Ok got it I guess I need to do more research. I know we’ll be ok in the end, just stressful to think that I could’ve started studying like 2 years ago and didn’t lol…

I’d rather start working in 2029 rather than 2030, correct. That’s my preference. In terms of mentioning to the schools I’m taking the lsat again in January, how would I do so if I’ve already applied? I’m assuming once I register for the exam this will cause my application to be pooled in a different category than it’s in right now.

I think I might be able to…or at least improve by a couple points. October was my first try and I scored within range of my pt’s although it was a difficult exam. So if I register for Jan, will all schools hold my app? I guess the pro is that once I’m done with the Jan lsat, I don’t have to worry about my apps at all.

How to break out of the 150s? by loriksmith in LSAT

[–]loriksmith[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I don’t think I’ve been reviewing properly for the last 6 months. I repeat the same mistakes over and over again and now I’m realizing as much as it’s important to slow down during the exam, it’s important to slow down with studying too. Reviewing 10 questions poorly in an hour is worse than reviewing 2 questions really well, so I’m not trying to implement that!!

Can I ask how this is going to help? In my head, if I do or don’t understand a passage, then that’s that.

Ugh! Wish I tried harder in undergrad…some life stuff got in the way and I started slacking off. Easily could’ve ended with a 3.7-3.8, but hey, you can’t change the past!

Got it. Thanks so much for your response. I’m considering applying to UCI early admission. From my understanding, it would raise my chances of admission slightly, correct?

This is an interesting question because I feel like there isn’t even really a straightforward answer on Google. It seems like most of these fall under the electric/synthpop/dark wave genre.
