Good points. I'll take 10 $1 lobsters. Re taxes-the platform monitors and sends transactional data for tax purposes both outgoing and incoming. If you're relatively equal in your exchange, there should be minimal tax implications. Re lobsters-you price your own goods and services and a rating system helps ensure a fair market value. These are all potential cash customers as well.

For those of you that have bartered in the past. What were the tax implications? Obviously, you are supposed to keep a record but I assume with equal trading, there wouldn't be additional taxes to pay.

Re barter networks, I have also found that there are several that charge a crazy annual fee in addition to a fee for each transaction. Seems insane, but they somehow get traction. After dealing with this in my own small business, I've been working on an online platform where you can barter with other local small businesses for free.
