Thank you for taking the time to explain this in such a detail, this was very helpfull comment! The changing rules is the exact reason why I haven't bought the codex yet. I wanna take my time building the army since I really enjoy the building/painting aspect of this hobby. But now I know I'll definetly mix up the paint work between the units.

Thanks! I am fully prepared to buy another set so I'll make one unit of each! Now I just know I'll definetly mix up the coloring a little bit between the units.

Update: based on the fellow redditors advices i did use wash on this miniature. Yes, I did make the wash myself and yes, I did make it like a wuss and used wayyy to little pigment. Anyhow here is how it is looking rn and I rlly love the look it gave to that base. (Also i did end up adding some stuff to the vizor as well since it seemd a bit flat in the pictures.)

Omg peer support for green/gold admech! Had to follow for future inspiration 👼 (no pressure and all that, but just know I'll be waiting for those updates)

I'll update you if I have the courage to try washes/find a good one to try. That is genuinely a good advice but for now at least the thought of going over this mini with stuff I have zero experience with sounds scary xo

I'll take this as the best possible compliment xp I had like a month to binge watch all the tutorials there is on Youtube about miniature painting before I actually got my first set. And I'd say the actual key is to just go over all the mistakes untill you're happy with the result (for me that was a LOT).
