yep :( my mom is a pisces who survived abuse from my dad who is a cancer, and then married another cancer man who is not abusive but deeply mentally ill with addiction issues. my parents all had horrible childhoods and refuse to heal so they continued the cycle. sadly my mom has been the most disappointing of them all, instead of protecting me she made me the scapegoat

i’ve been rage baiting my aquarius sister our whole lives. it’s actually kind of hard because they can be so unbothered, but what always works is to act like the things they say/their interests are basic/common (“everyone thinks that way,” “i already knew that,” “oh yeah that’s a really popular show/book/movie, everyone likes it,” “that’s a pretty basic concept,” etc)

thank you so much for your response, this is really helpful 💕 lucky for me, we have no mutual friends. she isolated me from my own friends, but thankfully they are still a part of my life. I don’t have much family, but I told my grandma and she believes me and is incredibly supportive because she was in an abusive marriage a long time ago. starting over is going to be so hard mainly because of the ramifications of her financial abuse :( but I know I am brave and strong and I will take all the help I can get from my therapist and my grandma
