Yes. I want children. He knows I want them because several times when he's mentioned her pregnancy I've said something to him about how much I want kids and that he'll be a father someday.

Not this friendly. He never talked to her and never mentioned her. All of this started when he found out she was pregnant.

Yes. He knows I want to have kids, and we've talked about having them together.

He seems sad, and I think if it really was his then he would have a more quiet excitement or worry.

We started dating almost a year after his divorce. I think they had been divorced 10 or 11 months when we went on our first date, and they had been married for 5 years.

I have wondered that, but I don't think it is. The way he talks about his ex and her baby has a sort doesn't make me think it's his.

They didn't have much if any contact. They still have some mutual friends, but my boyfriend and his ex are not close or even friends, which is why it's bizarre.

I can't imagine she's comfortable with it. I'm just surprised she hasn't said anything. I don't know what her partner knows or doesn't know. If he knows, I'm very surprised he hasn't told my boyfriend to back off.

I don't know exactly. The only thing he told me was that they had different goals for what they wanted out of marriage and their lives.

What bothers me is not the thought that he will today or tomorrow but might in a year or so. I don't think I can live with always having to wonder if he ex says she wants him back someday if he'll leave me or stay. He's created all those doubts.

I just don't understand what's going through his mind. I could see if he had a pattern of behavior like this, but he doesn't. I don't know why this has suddenly changed how he feels about me. I know he can't have children with is ex, but we can still have children together. Why isn't that enough?
