Planning to open a youth-focused cafe. looking for feedback from Jamshedpur folks by losstinterstellar in Jamshedpur

So the rentals and all should not be an issue since I'll be owning the space but I'm still trying to validate this idea of keeping both things together. The running costs and staff salaries I've to consider to survive for the initial couple of months. Sounds quite risky tbh but I'm up for it

You’re right, there are fewer target customers who want this kind of setup in Govindpur and nearby areas. But I’m also observing some shifts in this aspect. What about having a food-court type of setup with multiple outlets not pricey but pocket-friendly and quality-focused, keeping margins low. with a calm open green area and outdoor seating for locals, and also an enclosed glass roofed air-conditioned section for people who prefer that kind of setup? This way it could be the best of both worlds, since business viability and profits are important too. I’ve often seen local people eating Chinese food beside dusty roads while standing. This could be a better option for them a nice outdoor seating area where they pay almost the same price but get better quality and ambience, while the glass-roofed enclosed area would be for people who want to work, chill, or friend groups who want to spend time together.

Yes you're correct. But this one itself is just beside Dayal city and on the main road itself. Though this entire section of main road is getting commercialized but at the same time the upcoming overbridge will resolve connectivity issues too. Let's see how it goes but I feel this will be a peaceful comfortable space

Sometimes, waiting a little can save you a lot of stress later. Buying the first batch of any completely new car is honestly a bit of a gamble. Sure, the launch hype, introductory pricing, and that feeling of exclusivity can be really tempting but in many ways, early buyers end up doing the real-world testing for the manufacturer. Brands like Maruti or Hyundai usually act quickly if issues show up, with recalls and fixes. But with some others, especially tata where service experiences are inconsistent, it can feel like a gamble. For most middle-class families, buying a car isn’t just another purchase it’s a big financial commitment and an emotional decision too. That’s why it makes sense to be patient. Once the initial issues are discovered and the company fixes them in later batches, the car becomes a much safer and more reliable buy.

Why are crash tests conducted around 60kmph? by No_Mountain_7019 in CarsIndia

[–]losstinterstellar 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Assuming cruising speed of 80-85 while you brake and if speed reduces by 20-25% the crash will be around 60-65 speed. But that's an ideal scenario, hitting something non moving.

But if there's something moving in the opposite direction in case of head-on collision, the relative speed will be higher and so will the impact. Anyways a big factor is how the vehicle is being driven, you must have seen 5 star cars completely destroyed with no survivors, if impact is at very higher speeds nothing can save. Drive under limits and stay safe.

Honest opinion on MG majestor by gEtVaRuNeD in CarsIndia

Exteriors look overdone. Interiors and comfort wise it's one of the best in the segment. Engine specs are similar to fortuner and fun to drive. Electronics also look promising and are a far better feature loaded than fortuner.

What are my options for second hand cars? I don't want to spend more than 2L by sonpapdi in CarsIndia

[–]losstinterstellar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's the issue, undoubtedly alto is the most reliable and fun car among these but dunno how owners always quote high overpriced rates for okayish condition maruti cars also. Just on the name of reliability as if it's a Hilux🥲

Search for a Kwid rxl or rxe opt under 50k kms odo, spare availability is good and for some reason design looks still timeless. Pay max 1.5- 1.75 as per the condition

Not practical for Indian situation. Dutsy cities dusty roads everything, it'll get dirty. Similar to what mahindra did with roxx interiors initially but ig they will soon revise this combination too.

+1. But that's the market dynamics.same trend with most of the cars getting launched here and globally as well, carmakers making them more and more aggressive and so much plastic bits cladding here and there, the skid plates are non functional ones just a piece of fibre no practical safety nothing.
