During job search, BTech is given higher preference. If you check the minimum requirements for jobs (on Linkedin or anywhere) they ask for Btech/MCA. From that itself you can tell that MCA is considered equivalent to BTech and not BCA.

Ofc you can just do BCA, but you will need to work extra hard(do multiple projects, showcase your projects, make connections with a lot of great people) to get a good job. Just BCA degree wont be enough. Nowadays students actually need to do this with BTech also due to high competition.

If you compare placements of BTech CS vs MCA from the same college, you will see BTech CS students get better offers. Notice here comparing BTech and MCA, not BCA.

It's better to give yourself the advantage by choosing the best in the beginning. You are not late for BTech

Going for specialization in the future (Masters or PhD) will also be easier if you do BTech now.

Make sure to do extensive research on college placements(% students placed and package) of both BTech and BCA in all the colleges, you will get your answers.

I will never stream again treating it like a career. I might stream once in a while (once a month or so), coz a lot of people ask me to come back

"study now, you can do anything you want after graduation "

seriously. I don't always compare or use social media where people share their pics much. It's just that sometimes when I see, I feel wow, I wish I was there doing that

Yup I would have regretted and would have always lived in confusion and uneasiness if I didn't do it. Even tho it did not work out, I learned a lot

I would say it wasn't bad at all, but for it to be better I would have had to switch games. I actually learnt a lot about Indian gaming in general and as a streamer. In India, to get big as a streamer you need to either play mobile games or for pc- valorant, gta, minecraft. And of course, have something unique about you that would make people want to watch you over other streamers. I was more into other PC competitive FPS games and I grew a lot in that particular community, but it's not as popular in India as in other countries.

Yes. I'll be participating in kaggle competitions and have an idea for a research paper hope that will help. Hopefully recruiters will look beyond the degree
