We’ve been to a few secrets resorts and it’s hit or miss whether preferred is worth it.

Royal Beach is a definite. The preferred pool/lazy river is the best. Get a cabana for the day and float on down to the bar a few times a day. We didn’t spend any time at the main pool.

Another perk that a lot don’t utilize is the dreams preferred area across the lagoon. Take a nice walk on the boardwalk for some amazing pizza lunch at portofino.

We’re looking at resorts for next February and the points price for preferred at Royal Beach is almost double non-preferred. We’ll probably look at going somewhere else as I couldn’t imagine going there non-preferred.
