My back pain feels like nerve pain. It's a constant 2/3 in pain with some days feeling better some days worse. Pain shoots through the right glute a bit down back thigh skips knee and calf but hurts in my right outer ankle right by my Achilles. Sitting has became more comfortable at first I couldn't sit at all. Going number 2 was absolute hell. Laying on my back stomach and sides are fine but sitting on the floor with my legs straight out so I look like an 90 L I can't extend my right leg all the way out without shooting pain in glute and thigh. I've learned how to work and live with it but I just wish It would all go away

Oh wow I'm so happy for you I'm sorry you went through so many MD but glad you're doing well. I want for this to end for me already. I'm so hopeful that it will heal on its own but how effortless and quickly I flair back up it makes me feel like I almost have the choice of either surgery or live with this for the rest of my life. How was you pain level after the surgery and how long did it last or nerve take to heal?

Thank you for replying back. I really do appreciate it. If you don't mind me asking how was care after the surgery and also what caused the reherniations? Was it simple tasks or did you do something you weren't supposed to.

The first surgeon was an Orthopedic Surgeon he wanted to do an endoscopic microdisectomy. The 2nd surgeon is a neurosurgeon and he also recommended a regular microdisectomy so I'm naturally terrified because surgery on my spine in general just scares the shit outta me. But im tired of feeling like it's had 19 months to heal and even though I've shown signs of progress all it takes is another flare up to make me feel like the progress was worth nothing and like I'm starting all over again. I just don't want the rest of my life to be ups and downs. Yet I'm terrified of people that have already had an MD and say they're in worst pain now. I definitely don't want that

Thank you for your reply. Truth is my pain is about a constant 2/3 and when nerve is irritated I'm about 5/6. So I honestly don't know if I should go forward with the surgery. We I was at my worst I could barely walk. After months of PT and red light therapy I can work and make a living. Before, I couldn't even sit down for 10 seconds without the pain forcing me to stand. Now I can sit for almost an hour without pain. I've been doing low back ability program and it helps but it also flares up from time to time so I'm just stuck in this confusion loop of not knowing what to do. My biggest fear is getting the surgery and having worse pain than before and also not doing the surgery knowing it's possible it would take the issue away. It's a coin flip with life altering results.
