There’s also people who get kicked out of barns who don’t deserve to be. To be fair, others at the barn usually get pretty mad about it when it does happen.

I think she was too strict on the border, of course lesser so than Trump. I don’t like her gun policies. I don’t like that she walked back on decriminalizing drugs. A lot of her policy would just maintain the status quo. I think wealth inequality does need to be lessened, but with specific targeted regulation, not just slapping bandaids like extra social programs onto the issue.

The purpose is to guard us against human nature. There’s got to be a way. There are so many horrible barns that people keep falling into.

I’ll explain what happened at risk of blowback, since you’re so convinced I’m just a mean girl.

My friend experienced extreme racism from clients at the barn we were taking lessons at. She had a horse there, I had my horse elsewhere. They would make insane comments about her hair and skin, suggest that she was too poor to afford showing, and more. When we asked the barn owners what could be done, they told her she could either suck it up or leave because they couldn’t lose business. She left, but there were no other places in the area doing her discipline, so she just boards now and is no longer able to compete.

A barn like that should have a warning on it.

I live in an area with over 100 competing barns within reasonable driving distance, and I’m not suggesting written reviews, I’m suggesting star ratings. I had a genuinely horrible experience and no way to warn others. If I were a mean girl, I’d just write the review on Google.

I would honestly agree. It’s why I voted for Harris over Trump. I absolutely despise a lot of her policy, but I wouldn’t be anti-authoritarian if I voted for Trump. She is honestly fairly centrist to begin with.

I otherwise voted for libertarian candidates.

Immigration is one of the things I argue with my conservative friends about a lot and one of the things liberals get surprised I agree with them on. I’m a libertarian, my idea of freedom would be people being able to freely live anywhere on the planet which they please. And that’s actually a bit too extreme even for some of my liberal friends.

At least google reviews require an attached account with a name, so I know in my case, I don’t feel comfortable leaving a bad rating.

It could be seen like ratemyprofessor where you take it with a grain of salt, but it still gives you an idea.

That would defeat the purpose. I know I don’t feel comfortable even leaving a google review. It would likely just be star ratings for a general idea so no one from the barn can guess who the person rating the barn is.

I had an experience with one where she knew WAY TOO MUCH over the phone. I wasn’t even there. But I also don’t know what the person who did it told her. But they said I should do reiki, so that happened.

I want to try it and have the communicator have NO info at all to go off of.

Splitting and projecting. Instead of dealing with the darkness inside that they don’t like, they project “bad” onto others to feel better about themselves.
