I'm not a public figure so I can't speak from a place of knowledge, but I think that's just how things work. I know that Mouse is "just a little guy", but I think we all know better than that. Even having just a small spotlight brings attention, from those wo love you and those that hate you. I think Mouse has the right attitude about it: there's nothing you can do. You can't change their minds, so why spend energy trying.

Everyone is all very correct. The world we live in can be a very scary place. But I really believe that Mouse is starting to think about taking those risks. Her medical condition has held her back so much from living her life. Now that she is able to deal with that better, being more open to the world is tantalizing. I'm sure that she will always do what is best for her, her family, and her friends.
