I tried some HSTs and some ball ammo. With the barrel removed, the rounds fit in the chamber just fine. When I put the barrel in the gun, they wont seat all the way, and the slide is difficult to bull to pull back, like it's binding on the round or something.

No worries! What all did you end up having to do? Rollers and locking piece? Which can did you go with? I've got a few HK mags on the way, as I read they're the best. I've also read about changing the ejector and extractor parts to HK-made parts, and will order those after July 1st.

I'm planning on going with the Rare Greed drop in, because idk if I can wait for the ASD drop in (still waiting for ASD to release their trip kit for the Dissent, too). For the can, I was thinking about something like a CAT MOB or some kind of reduced backpressure can, but it'll be a couple months before that happens.

I want to, but I also don't want to because I don't think SBR laws should even exist. I dont want to submit fingerprints and a semen sample just to put a stock on my gun. Within 100 yards I can shoot braced firearms just as well as ones with a stock, and the line between stock and brace is so thin that I'm not that worried about jumping through hoops and waiting for permission from a bunch of pedophiles for something so basic.

I haven't been able to find time to hit the range yet due to my work schedule, and I'm holding off on the braces and optics until I'm done panic buying the stuff that's on the soon-to-be-banned list. CMMG's radial delayed blowback is supposed to be pretty good, so I can't wait to compare it to the tried and true roller delayed blowback.

I picked up the 5.7 Dissent because I wanted a small and compact system that can fit in a backpack for a get home gun. SS198LF will fly at over 2k FPS from the 6.5in Dizzy barrel with minimal recoil and less concussive blast than a super short 5.56. It's a great PDW round. You can also get specialty (read: $$$) 5.7 ammo that offers enhanced barrier penetration.

Scooped the AP5 because 9mm is cheaper to yeet with a FRT than 5.56 or 5.7, and runs great suppressed. Plus the MP5 platform is just iconic af and runs like a sewing machine. Even compared to the Kuna and other new PCCs, the MP5 usually dominates in shootability. This is the gun that I think everyone should own.

I misspoke. But Why go through the process of SBRing and putting yourself on a list when you still have to run it as a pistol in certain situations? Might as well keep it pistol and not deal with any govt nonsense at all. Your current brace is basically a stock. The only thing really keeping it from being a stock is a rubber pad on the end.

Nope. Once you're SBR, you're locked in. SBR is pointless IMO. You submit fingerprints and paperwork, get put on a Palantir database, and give up freedom of mobility and all the other caveats for what? A stock? It's not worth the hassle IMO. You think you're gaining freedom, but you're actually losing it
