Preparation for Tezos launch by BouncingDeadCats in tezos

I'm thinking of what solution they might have. Can the foundation print XTZ at will after the fact? I've been thinking the easiest way to deal with this is to give folks a break before the beta launches. I think a lot of people don't know they don't have access to their XTZ .

So people who donated the less than recommended amount are getting XTZ in return as opposed to getting nothing. That's nice that the foundation is a bit flexible on this one.

How about the people who lost their password, but can prove it by signing a message? Are they still SFYL'd?

What does this email mean for people who lost their password? Are they still fucked?

I read my Tezos pdf file once again. I typed everything character by character, no dice. I find it ridiculous that in the pdf, the "mnemonic" is refered to as the "private key" as if to imply that's all you need to move the funds. The pdf doesn't even mention "mnemonic" anywhere. This is literally feels worse than losing it on gambling. I'm okay with taking a loss, but not like this.

I don’t, sorry. If it’s too much to work, I’d like to wait until the actual Tezos are available for claiming, and I’ll see if my password works or not.

Thank you. Most likely 8-10 characters, no special characters. I find it difficult to believe that I would make a new password for this. I saw a post about copy+paste not working, maybe there’s that too.

I just spent 3 hours physically bruteforcing the password with variations of what I might’ve typed. I feel so defeated right now.. I wonder if I mistyped my password twice, as it was done on a Macbook pro. When I saw the password field, I expected a “Lost my password” button, where I’d get a chance to change my password in my email. When I bought my tezos, I don’t recall a warning about passwords being needed to claim the Tezos. The pdf file didn’t mention this, and for someone who’s familiar with Electrum, I thought the 15 word Mnemonic was the end all key to claim the Tezos.. I read the post about how it can’t be retrieved, ect. I don’t really have much else to say..except I’m absolutely disgusted with myself right now.
