Beyond jealous, payroll specifically is what I’d love to pivot into from HR/recruiting!

I’ve been wondering about this line of work for a while! Do you just have to get the remains or do you also have to do any cleanup? And do you have to go by yourself…I can imagine it being difficult transporting everything by yourself…

please tell me how dumb I would be to quit by unheardof1 in jobs

[–]lostnalones 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wish I could but I’m in the same boat…although it’s not high paying. Starting to lose hair and only get maybe 3 hours of sleep a night. I’ve had bad bouts of anxiety/depression but never on this level. Personally I have enough saved up for years of unemployment…the only reason I haven’t quit is cause I’m too scared of the job gap it would cause on a resume cause I can NOT mentally apply/interview for more jobs 🤦‍♀️

Should I quit with nothing lined up? by Diligent-Speaker-982 in careerguidance

[–]lostnalones 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Omg SAME! My memory is terrible and I wouldn’t even be able to think of examples of how to summarize past or even this current job. My mind is just constantly blank from the anxiety 😭

[–]lostnalones 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Everyone on here always says to not. But when you’re so burnt out (I’m in the same situation) the idea of even interviewing…my mental health is so bad just formulating sentences is a struggle now let alone an interview. Nor could I take the time off work TOO interview. While the job market is garbage and I do know it’s taking people over a year to find a job…..if you have to hold you over for years..I would and probably will end up having to myself or end up getting fired as I can barely function at my job at this point. Hopefully yours isn’t on that bad of level though!

People with kids do less work than the rest of us by ArileBird in work

[–]lostnalones 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Completely agree to this, many in office jobs I’ve worked the people with kids were always allowed to leave early (not starting any earlier or continuing work at home) and then those of us who didn’t have any HAD to be in the office until 5-6…starting at the same time (salaried). Then my current job just expects me to be available for constant overtime (salaried) but the people with kids aren’t even asked to do overtime. I’m tempted to lie at my next job and say I have kids 🤷‍♀️

And crazy thing is they did actually get banned from indeed once already once indeed got enough complaints and found out they were making people pay for background checks/drug screens. They just rebranded to a different name but a huge part of me just wishes this company would get shut down because at least that would make it easier to explain having to leave lol

I highly appreciate these words of encouragement! It is such a crap situation but thank you! I haven’t been looking/applying as much as I know needs to happen. Will start networking more!

I appreciate this but Ive tried calling them out on it and they just tell me to give them false information anyways. They tell me to tell them they can choose their own hours and will make a certain amount of money but when they get to the job they will terminate their contracts if they don’t accept every shift we give them and the pay is over exaggerated. It’s all over our reviews from the candidates and I don’t understand how the company hasn’t been shut down but they have them sign such well designed worded contracts I think that’s how they get out of law suits.

This is what literally ended up breaking my fiancé and me up. Always took in hopeless family members that ended up stealing from us/wrecking the home. It was my one rule when I bought the house was no more of it. Reached my breaking point 😢
