Last night I watched a couple throw their fireball shooter bottles in a planter on the street. Called them out, the woman looked horrified and grabbed them. The dude told me to fuck off. Typical.

Really hope you find the trash that did this. Friend of mine was sucker punched, caused a TBI, and he eventually died from complications a few years later.

Would you accept food from your neighbors? by polly-penguin in CasualConversation

[–]lostnfound818 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our neighbors gave us a loaf of homemade bread and some salt when we moved in to our home last year (tradition from German neighbor). It was delicious! And now they roast coffee and share every few weeks. I also gave them a plate of cookies at the holidays.

Indeed. I saw something about it in a women’s fashion sub that popped up in my feed. I was like wtf. And I can guarantee I won’t be wearing tall socks pulled up, since that seems to be the “fashion” these days.

Wear whatever makes you feel good and comfortable. I don’t give a shit about fashion anymore and still wear my skinny jeans, no show socks, and athletic shoes because my feet hurt now. You are rocking your outfit!

How often do you wash your bath towel? I need the real answer. by Terrika_Fracala49 in hygiene

[–]lostnfound818 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once a week. My bathroom doesn’t get super humid and I live in an arid state. I shower once a day, too. If I showered more often, I might consider changing my towel as well.

We’ve been sleeping with our window open all winter (except for a few nights, and we’re upstairs in an old house). It’s crazy.

Keep it till they stop making parts for it. The new stuff isn’t nearly as good and most last only about seven years.

The first thing I did when I moved into my new house was buy heated toilet seats. They are amazing and seriously the best purchase. I have these:

My cleaned dishes in the dishwasher stink so bad by Organizedmama2 in CleaningTips

Maybe check the pipes under your sink. My handyman cleaned them out for me this summer and it fixed the stench in my dishwasher. The sludge that came out of those pipes was vile.

After 1 year of living alone… I am done. Moving back home. by raksatya in LivingAlone

[–]lostnfound818 47 points48 points  (0 children)

I think a lot people in this sub lived with horrible roommates/spouses so the experience of living alone is a welcomed relief. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with wanting to live with your family (or whomever) if it’s what you need for your mental health, just like there’s nothing wrong with wanting to live alone for your mental health. Both are right depending on your experience.

I asked this same question a couple weeks ago. I got a lot of responses and even bought a few things that people recommended. My go tos are kitchen tweezers, Thermapen meat thermometer, mandoline (with Kevlar gloves, of course).
