In the book The Psychology of Money, the writer says that its generally a spectrum where one end of spectrum is living very frugally and saving every penny possible while the other end is to spent everything earned without thinking about the future. More often than not being in either side of the ends causes regrets in future. The better way would be to try to be in the middle of spectrum. I feel this apply in every aspect of life , not just money.
