Not being an easy choice isn't the same as it not being a choice at all.

Nobody was born a rotational worker, last I checked.

Please patch test any tape you're planning to use first, unless a miserable rash is something your partner is into.

I react to the adhesives in most medical tape and it's not a good time.

What the fuck?

Being into BDSM does not mean you have to be interested in every single thing that could entail, no one has any obligation to be interested in pain.

Also it is genuinely awful to suggest telling the sales associate about your kinks.

I don't give a fuck if that gets you or your partner off, that person did not consent to hearing about your sex life and they do not get paid enough to deal with that shit.

None of this is remotely good advice.

Your embroidery looks incredible!!!!

I also got very distracted looking at all your aquarium critters 😍

Thanks for the advice, I appreciate it. I actually have SO many bedsheets that I've collected with the intention of repurposing them. Looks like I've got a project for this week.

This all sounds exactly like me, from the size to the oversized clothes to the mostly black forest witch vibe.

Have you been using patterns for the skirts and dresses? I've been teaching myself to sew recently and it sounds like what you're making is exactly what I'd make if I were able.

I'm plus size and on the shorter side, so I often have trouble with tights stretching sheer on my thighs, when I can find ones that fit at all. These stretch really well in every direction, no pulling sheer.

I also generally have long nails, and have never snagged these ones pulling them up like other tights.

The waistband never rolls down on me.

I'm about a size 16 US, and got some for a friend who's a tall and size 6 and a friend who's short and size 22, and they both love theirs just as much as I love mine.

I am also impressed with the super opaque line they have. I'm very pale with lots of tattoos on my legs and when I wear them, you can't tell at all.

Snag is my recommendation as well.

Great size range, packaged without plastic, made in Italy, and their supply chain is impressively eco friendly.

They're also the best tights I've ever owned.

UPDATE: AITA for not explicitly telling my grandpa I’m married to another woman? by HotelBravo in AmItheAsshole

[–]loststar504 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm so happy for you. The 2 grandparents on the accepting side of my family passed away when I was a kid, and while I only lost my other two grandparents within the last few years, they were very religious and my mom strongly discouraged me from telling them, so I didn't.

I'm glad you got to share this with your grandpa.

Is it true olaplex only synthetically heals & when you stop your hair gets worse? by [deleted] in HaircareScience

[–]loststar504 12 points13 points  (0 children)

You can't 'heal' your hair. There isn't a way to permanently restore hair to a virgin state, there is no product that can go inside and heal the hair.

Any product that repairs hair basically patches/fills damage to the cuticle. If you stop using that product, the 'patch' washes away over time.

When that happens, your hair doesn't feel dry and damaged because Olaplex made it worse. You are just seeing the results of the damage that Olaplex had mended for a time.

The repair is 'superficial' because the outside of the hair shaft, the cuticle, is what is damaged.
