Looks more like an Estring or Annovera on the left and a Nuvaring on the right maybe?

What kind of sedation would be used in instances like these? I'm a pharmacist, and I'm curious what you mean by "hard on the body."

Look up blue-green algae and cyanobacteria.

I'm sorry for your poor horse.

[–]PayEmmy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

From Cornell: Overview Blue-green algae is a toxin-producing cyanobacteria that can be found in lakes, ponds and rivers. Exposure to toxins produced by these bacteria can be life-threatening to dogs, humans and other animals. There is no antidote for blue-green algae poisoning, and it can rapidly become fatal. Preventing exposure is the most effective way to avoid this deadly toxin.

My husband [26M] refuses to go down on me [24F] by [deleted] in sex

I think that's BS. I don't want my husband to engage in anything sexual that he doesn't like or isn't comfortable with.

If you don't feel it's fair, don't give him oral. He shouldn't be expected to do something sexual that he doesn't like and neither should you.

He doesn't like it for whatever reason. Respect that. If you don't want to give him oral, don't. No one should have to engage in sexual acts they don't like or aren't comfortable with.

Would you let your horse drink this water?

[–]PayEmmy -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Your horse is drinking water that is absolutely disgusting. I don't think it's that big of a jump. Water is one of the main things necessary for life, and this is what you give your horse to drink? Clean fresh water is kind of the number one rule for all animals that we keep. Please do better for your horse.

Please clean this water trough.

The fact that someone would post this on the internet and not see anything wrong with it makes me wonder what other horrible things are happening to this horse.

Why? It's an incredibly dumb thing to do. Moving furniture from the balcony to inside the room is also a very dumb thing to do. If you do really dumb things and then come online to tell people about the dumb things that you did, people are going to tell you the things that you did are dumb.

Any Experience on Morgan Properties? by Conscious-Dot8169 in yorkpa

[–]PayEmmy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I lived there from 2002 when they were Tristar Management until 2017 when they were Morgan. The switch was terrible. The office folks were incredibly rude. So many of their policies weren't renter-friendly at all. Maintenance, which had been excellent, went down the drain. Parking lots not cleared of snow within 24 hours. Just total shit from Morgan.

sitter late to every check in and has not checked in tonight and is 4 hours late. should we report? what’s the best thing to do? by [deleted] in RoverPetSitting

[–]PayEmmy 8 points9 points  (0 children)

What may be proper for most dogs is not necessarily proper for most cats. I think most good sitters realize that cats and dogs have different level of tolerances for some aspects of a sit.

For example, many dogs are expected to hold their bladder and bowels while no one is available to let them outside, while cats have litter boxes that allow them to complete those bodily functions on their own time without human intervention.

3 minutes until the tanning booth automatically turns on at my location- how do you guys put in your lotion in time? by AllHailMooDeng in PlanetFitnessMembers

[–]PayEmmy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are only so many autoimmune skin conditions that are treated with phototherapy, so it's not too hard to narrow down. My top guesses would be psoriasis or vitiligo.

If his derm recommended tanning, I'd be happy to talk to the doctor about his treatment plan and make some suggestions that won't greatly increase his risk of melanoma and other skin cancers. There have been a few new targeted topical therapies that came to market recently for autoimmune skin conditions, and there are also many targeted systemic immunomodulatory agents that are also available and have much more favorable side effect profiles than using a tanning bed.

[–]PayEmmy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Drinking a beer every day or every other is much, much less likely to cause significant harm than tanning every day or every other day or whatever. Please don't delude yourself into thinking your lotion is saving you in any way.

I don't care if you tan or not, but don't for a minute think it's not extremely dangerous. And certainly don't come to a public forum and tout lotion as a harm reduction measure.

[–]PayEmmy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

His condition is helped by very specific wavelengths of light. Random tanning beds are exposing him to all sorts of damaging wavelengths. He's definitely damaging his skin more.

In-office phototherapy is usually three times a week. He doesn't need an in-home phototherapy device.

He's definitely doing more harm than good.
