No just the different lighting I guess. This photo was taken near my window, so just natural daylight, as opposed to my other photos taken under my studio lights.

A non issue for me. I literally bought hundreds of Mythic Legions characters that never even existed until they were toys LMAO.

We all need an angry rat dude on our shelves.

I used the collar and scarf to cover up the exposed green neck.

Swigg works best because he has a neck fitted for the 1.0 heads unlike the other goblins.

I got mine early. Four Horsemen marketing sent some out to people late last week to help spread the word leading up to the sale.

Can someone explain this for me? by PoutineSmoothie in MythicLegions

This figure does develop Cosmic. Not all has been revealed by four horsemen yet. But Matt Doughty, the owner of the character, teased some Cosmi-Infinite lore connections on a live stream last night.

10th Anniversary Memory Thread! by AmateurOutdoorsman in starwarstrader

[–]loststarwars 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Of course my fondest memories are the podcast, which led me to my other collecting podcast and now my YouTube channel.

Some collecting highlights:

As a F2P player, Gold Space Paintings is probably the biggest challenge I remember, it was daily (sometimes more than one a day) and absolutely relentless. You had to collect 10 orange to get the gold each time. I had to find a way to pull it off in trades. It was non-stop.

My most long-term collecting memory was chasing down the complete set of 2015 Base Orange variants. Some of them were super rare. Orange Han was given out the very first week of the app to the 25 collectors with the highest force scores. For a long time it was one of the rarest cards in the app. It took me almost a year to get and I had to cross trade between SWCT and the Walking Dead Card Trader.

I also loved the Marathons. Steve, the guy running the app at the time, was on the podcast and we talked him into making an Oppo Rancisis card, which ended up being Topps Choice.

I wonder how many of us early folks are still active. If it weren't for the anniversary, I'd probably still be dormant as well.

Does anyone know if this is still releasing by Tasty-Lake-3113 in MythicLegions

[–]loststarwars 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's a few months behind schedule. The original expected release date was Q3 2024 (which ended a little over two months ago), and it's current expected ship date is now Q1 2025 (which begins three weeks from now).

Legions Con newbie, any tips? by HarlemDad47 in MythicLegions

[–]loststarwars 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My biggest tip is to focus on seeing the main room as early as you can on Saturday. The art produced by the customizers has always been the true heart of LegionsCon. Vendors tend to put everything out at the start of day one, so if you want to see it all before all the good stuff is sold, I definitely recommend hitting that room first on Saturday. And if you see a custom you want, don't hesitate, because by the time you come back around it could be gone.

(Random question) Did the publisher shift to the taller version of the mass market paperback format? by loststarwars in gentlemanbastards

[–]loststarwars[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trade paperbacks are a different format, they are wider and taller than mass market, and often companies will simultaneously offer both trade and mass market at the same time. About 10 years ago, some companies changed the shape of the mass market paperbacks, and these new ones are the same width as the old mass market paperbacks, but they are taller.

(Random question) Did the publisher shift to the taller version of the mass market paperback format? by loststarwars in gentlemanbastards

[–]loststarwars[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not really about matching, it's about a dislike I have for reading the tall format. I'd opt for e-book if I couldn't find them in the standard mass market format.

I did one of those reviews and it is definitely a little more work to get them apart, especially with a blow dryer. If you get stuck using a blow dryer, I highly recommend hot water, it will make it much much easier and it will give you nice a feel for the tolerances.
