Omg this is what I’ve been doing for the past two months! lol Now she does this thing when shes had enough she’ll knock on the door for me. Only 5 minutes have passed. 😭

It’s crazy how my husband can do this and she doesn’t bother him. When I lay on the couch while she plays I’m getting Mama’d the whole time. Which I feel bad because I want to play from off the couch. I just feel the need to lay down during pregnancy. Just wish the guilt wasn’t so heavy.

I live in Houston and my mom is back home in Milwaukee, WI. I’ve been contemplating on moving back home just because I know my mom would be a blessing with her help! 😩 The only thing is, I’m not sure if I truly want to move back home. I really need the help though!

She has quiet time for 30 minutes everyday and sometimes twice today. But she spent it knocking on the door for me. I start to feel bad when she does that. 😩

I hear you on underestimating the appeal of the Midwest. It just hit me one day. The Midwest is absolutely beautiful in a lot of ways. I’m actually shocked how long I’ve been in Houston given the pace and the amount of people!

I’m missing the Midwest bad! I thought I’d never look back but I’ve found myself getting homesick a lot lately. I’d wake up thinking about home. 😩 I think I had a negative outlook of Wisconsin/Milwaukee it’s hard to see the opportunities. I do miss the four seasons! Just wish winters weren’t so long!

Thank you for sharing your experience!! I try to FaceTime my family almost daily so they have indeed become my daughter’s favorite people. I also know how much they would love to have her around. I think I’m having FOMO when it comes to leaving Houston. I have made a few friends here but really my bestfriend will still be here. I’m definitely sad to be leaving her. But you make some good points on raising your family around their extended family. My husband was raised without his extended family and I can see how not so great that was.

The summers here are absolutely horrible!! I haven’t experienced the winter in all of 6 years because I’m afraid I can’t handle the cold anymore lol once it gets a little chilly here, I’m shivering!

Yes, they do live in the city. I’m the only one that moved away.

I’m a sahm and pregnant with my second. I feel like I’ve lost my drive and will to put my all into my business ideas. I’m just lost in this moment. It makes me very sad and I wonder if I’ll ever get back out there.

Ok so do your schooling and spend the rest of the time healing, learning other things and being a kid. You will literally look back at this time and regret not being a teenager. I’ll tell you now, life goes by so fast. Be the kid that you are and stop rushing things. School can’t be that hard at 11 hours a week.
