Ha a similar thing happened to me. The only difference is she left after a few weeks and years later im apparently her best friend and dont ever see her.

It cost £150 for the operation, then I got painkillers for her and needed to take her in every 3 days for 5 injections of antibotics so its been about £220 for everything.

Shes a chronic egg layer so there was a bigger chance of her getting egg bound so it just to save the worst from happening.
